His gaze inadvertently swept past another elevator entrance, and he caught sight of something that made his brows furrow as he looked again.
A set of car keys.
He strode over, bent down to pick up the keys, and gave them a careful look. Freeing one hand, he fished out his cellphone from his pocket and dialed Ji Anning's number.
The call connected, but no one answered, until a recorded voice informed him that the number he dialed was temporarily unavailable.
The elevator arrived just in time, and he hurriedly stepped inside.
"Mr. Ji, what happened?" Korea glanced at the car keys in Ji Chicheng's hand and asked, trying to guess what might have happened.
"Nothing much," Ji Chicheng responded to Korea with a tone that was neither cold nor warm.
The high-speed elevator quickly reached the ground floor, and he walked briskly out of the elevator and out of the building's main entrance.
