Unexpectantly, Shawney's heart warmed up to this stranger, having no fear, so she spoke the truth without hesitation. "Well, Sir, I really cannot say much. I have been away from the village for three years. Right now, I am in no position to give any direction. I am unaware of any changes that may have occurred during my absence, but I can assure you I know the feeling"
Train admired her sincerity and wanted to continue speaking. At that moment, he felt a comfort he wasn't able to explain. "Please, child, come and take a seat. There is no need to be afraid. I do need your assistance with this matter."
Reaching out his hand, feeling comfortable in his heart, knowing he can reveal his feelings and concerns to her. He said with all honesty as he introduces his name, "My name is Train Mac Carty, and whatever help you can give will be highly appreciated. Also, I don't think the village has changed much during the last three years that you have been away. You see, I also left my home some months ago, and right now I need some peace to help strengthen this old, tired body.
Also, I think a good night's rest with some relaxation will help. My appearance is just a matter of time, but I will deal with it as soon as I get accommodation. Then with a few days' rest, I would be good to go again."
"Sir, try to understand what I am saying. I am not living much further ahead. And I don't think I can be of much assistance anyhow. But hearing your dilemma, I am willing to assist you in whatever way possible"
Train was very persistent "Please, child, why don't you sit down? You look exhausted yourself."
Hearing him call her child fills her heart with joy. When he opens the door, Shawney sits down.
Observing how the gentleman was always glancing at her, he smiled.
Unaware of what he was thinking, but he doesn't seem to be in a hurry. Now he was driving under twenty kilometres.
Fear slowly creeps up in her heart as she whispers a silent prayer, "Oh, Lord! Whatever he is thinking up. I trust it's not evil. I know I didn't seek your direction to get into his vehicle, and I don't even know the person. Lord, I am your humble servant and am at your mercy."
With her eyes tightly closed, she cried out to the Lord, "Please, my Lord, whatever his intentions are, please turn them into a blessing.'
Glancing her direction, Train, expecting her to say something, observing her eyes closed, Train focused once more on his driving.
He said while focusing on the road, "You are very quiet, my dear. I was hoping you would give me some direction; that is the reason I am driving so slowly."
With her eyes still closed, a smile appeared on her lips. Shawney replies sweetly. "Sir, I told you earlier, my home is not much further."
"Look, child, there's a signboard."
Shawney's eyes flip open, hearing his words as he slows down to read the signboard, "Let me check it out, and then I will drop you off at your destination."
When Train heard her whisper, "Oh my God, this can't be right? How can they turn my home into apartments for rent?"
Train notices the tears and the way she covers her mouth. "Oh no, what have they done to my mom's flower garden?" Unable to believe her eyes, Shawney could not hold back the tears.
"How could Dad allow Aunty Joan to destroy Mom's flower garden and build all those apartments?"
The pain Train saw in her face brought many concerns. Driving into the premises, hoping to get an available apartment.
Thinking, 'There's no need to continue in his quest, and this child is around twenty-nine and fits the perfect description in my mind.
She is also the right age for my Torren.' Train observes how slowly she alights the van as if all hope is gone, and the tears keep flowing down her cheeks, which saddens my heart.
Train watched as she used the side of the building that had a signboard, Registration Office.
Stepping inside, going directly to the desk. When no one came to his assistance, Train knocked his keys on the countertop.
Hearing a grouchy voice. "I'm coming!" when she did appear. Train jumps backwards, 'My goodness, is this her Aunt?'
When the response came, "Can I help you, Sir?" Her voice was rough, and she seemed very ill-tempered.
Taking courage, Train didn't want to go anywhere else, wanting to keep an eye on her, 'Dear God, if it wasn't for that child. I would turn tail and run seeking other accommodation, but I have to speak with her.'
Ignoring her response, he knew from deep within his heart. 'All the months he has been searching for a potential companion. Concluding in his mind that this child is the first person who seems suitable to be my Torren's wife. And my instinct has never failed me before. Settling in his mind on his intentions, now I must find out if she is married and if not, my only prayer is she will accept My Proposal.'
"Mister, I am very busy, so please let me know how I can be of assistance, or kindly don't waste my time." Bringing him back to his senses, Train realised he was so lost in thought that he didn't respond to her immediately.
Ignoring her appearance, Train said, "I am very sorry, Ma'am, but I was wondering if you have an available room for rent?"
There wasn't even a small smile on her grumpy face. "Do you want a room downstairs or an upstairs room, Sir?"
With a calm heart, he said, although he was displeased with her appearance, "Downstairs would be just fine, Ma'am."
Observing the way she shoved the form in front of him and said, "Then fill out this form, and we will proceed from there.
