Cha Chan Woo was the only one who knew Choi Soo Man had threatened his friend Hwang Myung to drop the case. His friend's sudden accident made him suspicious. He initially thought he was overthinking. But the human and organ trafficking cases were turning into nothing. No one could find the evidence his friend had procured, and the law enforcement was struggling to tie Choi Soo Man to his atrocities.
That was when Cha Chan Woo realised something was wrong. So he started to dig into it. At one point, he had to look through his friend's office. So he informed his late friend's wife about his speculation about Hwang Myung's death and sought her permission to look through the personal office.
