Kai woke up the next morning finding Muninn and Huginn at the open window while Jörmungandr and Fenrir were on his bed. It disturbed his roommate a bit having a snake in the room at first but once they found out that said snake was tame and lazy they relaxed around it easily.
Kai was reading a book about Alchemy at the moment since the Alchemy of his world and the Alchemy he learned from Logan weren't the same but there were similarities to it.
He was going for his first lesson in Hogwarts which was Charm with Professor Flitwick as he walked through the school he could feel curious as well as scared and angry eyes on him.
Kai knew that he would be confronted with this since his family hunted and killed many mages over the centuries with some of them being the Ancestors of some people visiting this school.
He entered the classroom finding himself being stared at by some Slytherin students from which Kai recognized one by the name of Draco Malfoy who he almost accidentally killed during the chaos in the Finals of the Quidditch World Tournament.
He looked around and sat down beside Ben his roommate who was writing something down when he looks up and see Kai and says, "I see that you have left your pets and armor back in our room."
"Not really, Fenrir has left after eating breakfast and must be exploring the surrounding. My crows must be doing the same at the moment while Jörmungandr must be near the lake. He must be swimming in it at the moment," says Kai nonchalantly as he is more focused on his first class when he notices a hint of dread in Ben's eyes and he asks, "Is something wrong?"
"Your snake might never return then," says Ben seriously as Kai looked at him confused when Ben scratches the back of his head and continues saying, "The Lake has many monstrous beasts in it. Your snake might be considered their lunch."
Kai now realized what Ben wanted to say when Kai suddenly stood up while saying, "This is not good. I need to stop that idiot before he makes something dangerous."
"It is too late, pal," says Ben in a defeated tone thinking that Kai was worried about Jörmungandr.
"I hope not, Jörmungandr might look like a normal snake but he is in reali-," says Kai when the whole Castle began to shake from a tremor making Kai lose his balance for a moment when he holds his head in defeat and says, "Damn, that lazy bastard just got into a fight with something big."
"What was that?" asks one of the students nervously since an earthquake was never witnessed before in Hogwarts except for hundred years ago when the Goblins attacked the castle under Ranrok's lead.
Ben looked at Kai's direction but he was already moving toward the window and opened it before jumping out of it shocking everyone when Kai suddenly stretches his hand toward the ground and says, "Arresto Momento."
This slowed his fall before he says "Molliare" to cushion his landing. He then ran toward the lake to stop his lazy partner to find a giant white snake fighting a kraken it seemed while Hagrid didn't know what to do when he sees Kai.
"It is dangerous here boy. Retreat or we might be the next victims of this battle," says Hagrid as he already evacuated the area when he sees Kai stretch his hand out.
"Accio!" shouts Kai making the snake turn small while flying toward him when Hagrid sees the white anaconda in Kai's hands he wanted to say something but Kai had already disappeared with his snake.
'So much for a normal first day,' thinks Kai while sighing and looking at Jörmungandr who looked at him displeased like saying, 'I had everything under control.'
"Oh, I know, but I can't possibly reveal to the world that you are the real World Serpent, Jörmungandr. Just lay low for now and don't get into another fight," says Kai before releasing his snake buddy and returning to class only to find Professor Flitwick on the room teaching the class.
"Ah, and I thought you would make it back to class punctually. Ten points from Ravenclaw," says Professor Flitwick in a disappointing tone before saying in a favorable tone, "And twenty points for Ravenclaw for performing two charms perfectly for the whole class."
Kai was at first disappointed but that was fast washed away when he received points back for his house making him sigh in relief when he hears, "Mr. Masters take your seat before I take another five points for disturbing my class."
"Of course, Professor," says Kai rapidly sitting down beside Ben who looked at him as if a monster had appeared because of what he just did.
"And Mr. Masters, let's not repeat coming late to class," says Professor Flitwick seriously as he didn't want to take points from his own house everyday because Kai comes too late to class.
"That won't happen again, sir," says Kai seriously as Professor Flitwick continued his class as they are going to learn the charm.
"Accio, better known as the Summoning Charm, what can said Charm do?" asks Professor Flitwick into the round with two students raising their hands one is Hermione and the other was a light blond haired girl from Slytherin.
"Ms. Greengrass," says Professor Flitwick with anticipation.
"The Accio Charm was made to pull object to ourselves like for example a mug," says Daphne as Professor Flitwick responded with Five Points for Slytherin.
"Now can anyone of you tell me how to pronounce it?" asks Professor Flitwick as now only one hand went up which was Hermoine again.
He was about to ask Hermione when another hand went up which was Kaiser's and he says, "Mr. Kaiser can you tell us the pronunciation."
"It's AH-kee-oh while moving your wand in a half sphere like this," says Kaiser moving his index finger in the air which everyone that was facing him could see making Professor Flitwick happy.
"Ten Points for Ravenclaw," says Professor Flitwick seeing the Slytherins a bit angry thinking that he was favoritism Kaiser because he was a Ravenclaw but Kaiser received five points for the pronunciation and another five points for showing the wand movement they needed to do.
"Now how about we try this new Charm out," says Professor Flitwick as he transfigates some pieces of paper into balls before saying, "Everyone finds a partner from another house and practices the Charm with him or her by pulling their balls."
Everyone seemed to have found a partner rapidly leaving only Kai and Daphne to team up. Daphne wasn't pleased at all while Kai thought it would be fun since he already knew the Charm.
Daphne started as she pulled the ball toward herself after her second attempt when she was surprised by Kai who just opened his hand and said the Charm making the ball fly into his hand.
"Wandless Magic?" asks Daphne surprised when Kai nods.
"Yes, I never needed a wand since it would have been a bother having to hold it in my hands while hunting monsters," says Kai which didn't sit well with Daphne who misunderstood him.
"So we are only monsters in your eyes," says Daphne using the Accio Charm angry with Kai.
"No, what I mean with monsters I mean Werewolves or Water Hags. Those monsters could kill many people if not stopped or healed of their curses. I once met a werewolf who would hide himself away for weeks because of the moon phase until it was safe for him and his people to be around him. We don't kill indiscriminately after all," says Kai seriously as he tries to explain to Daphne that he doesn't see Wizards and Witches as monsters.
"I thought you were being homeschooled," says Daphne a bit curious since Kai was talking about monster hunting.
"I was mostly at my home by my Master before he sent me to Kaer Morhen to train the way of a Witcher. They are professional monster hunters who offer their service for fair coins. I spent two years studying theory under the oldest Witcher Vesemir while learning sword fighting from their famous Witcher Geralt who returned from his retirement just to teach me while their youngest Ciri taught me in Signs before they sent me out to hunt as my last assignment," says Kai telling Daphne about his experience when Daphne uses Accio to summon the ball to her side.
"Signs?" asks Daphne confused as Kai only nods.
"It's a different kind of Magic in which you concentrated your mind on a specific Sign for example 'Quen'," says Kai when a transparent yellow shield appears around Kai while he was using the sign of Quen.
"See it is like the Protego Charm just that it holds longer," says Kai as he stopped using the sign making the shield slowly dissolve taking everyone's attention for a moment.
"Five Points for Ravenclaw for performing an almost perfect Protego Charm," says Professor Flitwick fascinated with Kaiser.
Kaiser, on the other hand, didn't like the attention he was receiving at the moment since it wasn't only curiosity but also jealously he could feel from the people around him.
He was happy that Daphne was looking at him with curiosity instead of being jealous of him for performing spells that would be taught to them in the future.
"You said that you studied curses?" asks Daphne believing Kai's words for now when she sees Kai nod
"I learned a lot in my time with the Witchers and I also learned how to break some curses as well," says Kai seeing a glimmer of hope behind Daphne's curiosity.
"My younger sister, Astoria. She has been affected by a curse that runs in my family. Could you lift the curse?" asks Daphne as Kai looked at her seriously.
"I don't know, I would have to see her first and study the curse for a bit before I am able to tell you. Breaking a curse is difficult and dangerous without out the correct information. I could kill her by accident or worse turn her into a monster," says Kai seriously not wanting to lie to Daphne as they continued to practicing the Accio Charm.
"So you need to study the curse before you can do something or it will turn worse and kill Astoria. I understand, but can you take a look at her once you have more time?" says Daphne hoping that Kai would help her.
"I can take a look but I can't promise you anything. Breaking a curse takes days sometimes even month and in the rarest cases it could take years," says Kai not wanting to give Daphne some false hopes that her sister would be healed miraculously from one day to the other.
Soon the class ended and Kai went on his way to the next class which was Potion Class. Kai was excited since he wanted to find out if the potions were similar to the potions he learned to brew in Kaer Morhen.
