The power returned to the train, lights flickering back on one by one. A soft chime signaled the reactivation of the network, and the passengers' phones buzzed to life. Though it was strange, most people didn't question it too much.
Loki stepped out from the compartment where he'd been hiding during his conversation with Vira. Waiting for him in the hallway was Sir Hakai, arms crossed, expression unreadable.
"I told you to find me if something happened."
Loki wasn't that surprised to see Sir Hakai, since he had already sensed his presence when he was talking to Vira.
"The phones were not working. Also, I felt like dealing with such people was beneath Sir Hakai."
"Heh, what a mouth you have there." Sir Hakai scoffed as he looked at Loki. "Just who are you really, Loki?"
"I'm just a librarian who luckily gained inner energy late in life," Loki answered while shrugging her shoulders.
