All members of the Blood Clan were born with the ability to fly. Of course, it wasn't through flight magic, but by transforming into bats. Even the lower-tier Blood Clan members possessed this ability.
However, in their flying form, their stamina would be greatly reduced, dropping to about 10% of their usual strength. This meant their combat power would be less than 50%. After all, the Blood Clan and Liches were two fundamentally different species.
Liches were purely magical creatures, with their bones merely serving as a medium. Their true form was a mass of magic power.
In contrast, the Blood Clan were beings of flesh and blood, considered only semi-magical creatures. And even then, only slightly. The higher and stronger members of the Blood Clan not only had potent magic power but, more importantly, they possessed powerful bodies. This strength naturally increased over time, having no direct correlation with one's personal diligence, but rather being linked to talent and age.
