"HEY, DEMI!" Demi rolled her eyes after hearing her friend — Bam — call her for the 19th time now, "you're not planning to let me call you for the 20th time, are you!?"
"Coming!" She shouted back as she put her denim jacket on. She took her bag with her clothes in it which is good for three days.
"That's also the 19th time!"
She went out of her room and immediately walked downstairs just to find her friends Bam — who's glaring at her —, Mico — as usual who doesn't seem to care at all —, Mino — Mico's twin who's playing with her dog —, Santin — who's eating sandwich —, and Kori — who's frantically typing on her phone —.
"You always make your friends wait, Demi baby," her mom exclaimed while walking towards her.
"You said it right, Tita Dina," Bam, clearly annoyed.
*Tsk.*
"Did you get all the things you need?" Dina asked sweetly, "your allergy meds?"
She nodded, "yes, Mom."
She gave her a quick hug and kiss on the cheek, "don't worry, it's just three days. I'll come back home safely," she assured her mom.
"Better be," Dina patted her cheeks.
"Let's go," Santin said and the rest got up.
They bid goodbye to her mom and of course, Mino being Mino, hugged the woman and kissed her on the cheek like she is his own mother.
"Take care, kids!"
They all snorted at the last word.
"We're not kids anymore, Tita! But we will take care!" Mino saluted to Dina before hopping into the driver seat of his oh-so-cool Ferrari. What do you expect from a popular social media influencer?
He and his twin got a battalion fans and she can still remember when someone threatened her to freaking stay away from them or else, she will be freaking killed!
God! What a super loyal fan! It makes her question on how a certain person or people can make another or others like that!
"Earth to Delaida Mizuanna Paredez!"
She was dragged out from her reverie and notice that the other guys were already on their preferred cars. Their taking a total of three cars and they decided to go by-twos. Kori is in Santin's Mustang and Bam is with Mico.
She glared at Mino who's shaking his head while looking at her from the window of his car, "any plans on hopping in, babe?"
She hopped into his car, sitting on the passenger seat, "I told you, it's Demi! Mario Ignacio Nhello Ozmus Morales!"
She threw her bag on the backseat.
Mino glared at her and she smirked.
"You really know how to pissed everybody back," he started the car's engine before maneuvering it smoothly.
"I'll take that as a compliment," she said jokingly and leaned on the seat.
"Sleep, I'll wake you up when we arrive," he handed her a pillow neck.
"Seriously?" she chuckled, "Barbie?" she uttered, amused.
"What's wrong 'bout that? I love Barbie, my favorite color is pink and my twin loves..." he reached out for something from the back and then showed her another pillow neck with 'Sofia the first design', "...Sofia."
She shook her head, smiling. She put the pillow on her nape and closed her eyes.
"I love it that my friends are weird."
"Why?" he chuckled, "because you don't feel out of place?"
Her smile widens, "hmm...and it would be weirder if you guys are normal. You know what I mean?"
He chuckled again, "yeah-yeah, now sleep. I know that your lunatic boss is always giving you a hard time in work."
She nodded and yawned. She hugged herself and seconds later, she fell asleep.
SHE GROANED when she felt someone shaking her shoulder lightly then she heard Mino's voice.
"Wakey-wakey, sleepyhead. We're already here," Mino pinched her left cheek.
"Ouch!" she squeaked and open her eyes to give him a death glare.
He chuckled and kissed her cheek afterwards, "come on. The gangs' already inside."
They got out of the car and the cool breeze from the beach immediately kissed her skin.
*Ahh...wonderful...*
~Paraíso de Amor Beach~ (Love Paradise)
*I missed this place.*
Because Mino is a sweet friend, he offered to carry her bag. Well, he didn't really offer, he just took it.
He put his shades on and encircled his arm around her shoulders.
She doesn't really mind him doing that, she's already used to it.
"Isn't he one of the Morales twins?" Girl 1
"Right! Oh my god! He's here! I can't believe it!" Girl 2
"Me too! But who's that girl!? Is she his girlfriend?" Girl 3
"No! Of course not! She's just a friend. Well, that's what they said in one of their vlogs after she received a threat from a fan," Girl 1
She sighed at their conversation. It's really good that the twins clarified things out to their vlogs or else she might be really dead now!
*Yeah right!*
They both entered at the biggest house near the shore which is owned by the twins' parents.
The luxurious beach is actually owned by a group of businessman and the twins' father is one of them. Only those with invitations or related to the owners that have permissions can enter and what she finds very amazing about this beach is that, it's not just a literal beach, because there are also malls, hotel and restaurants—aside from the villas and cottages—, and also a separate arcade; all of these are located inside the beach's extensive parameter.
Though, it's not her first time to visit this place, she can't still help but to again admire the fabulous modern with a classic touch interior of the house but as they reached the living room, they were welcomed with a commotion.
The rest of the gang is having an argument with—
"What the hell is that bastard doing here!?" Mino shouted, fury is visible on his face just like the rest of their friends and Demi...
Demi is just standing there, stupefied, while looking at the guy who broke her heart three years ago.
Painful memories slowly came crashing down to her mind and when his pair of grey eyes met her blue ones...fury consumed her.
On the other hand, the guy looked surprise to see Demi and stared at her for a second before smiling,
"Demi, baby..."
