During the carriage ride, the one making a big fuss to Myne was Gale, the newly appointed captain of his Clan's Knight Guard. He felt that staying behind in the almost empty clan without much work to do was a waste of his talent, so he insisted on joining the party until they arrived at their destination: a new dungeon.
Yes, their first mission, given by Faren, Sylphy's cheap father, was to explore this newly born dungeon. This mission had been assigned long ago, but at that time, the clan hadn't been established, and no one took it seriously. If no one had reminded him, Myne would have never remembered it.
As for Gale making a fuss in the carriage, it was entirely Myne's own fault. Feeling bored, he had asked Gale to tell him some interesting stories, but who would have thought that this always-serious-looking guy, once he started speaking about his past, would show no sign of stopping?
