The younger princess lay on the ground and blinked.
She hadn't yet accomplished what she wanted to do.
But dying... could be a form of release too.
She closed her eyes and smiled.
Either way, the wretched man who killed her could be considered her savior.
At least he didn't let her die in humiliation.
But half a minute passed.
She realized she was still alive.
Opening her eyes, she discovered the wretched man squatting before her, scrutinizing her intently.
"Not bad." Julius Reed reached out with his right hand and gently touched the wound on her neck.
"If I had been ten minutes later, you'd have been beyond saving."
With that, he retrieved a tiny medicine bottle from his pocket, uncorked it, and sprinkled some powder over her wound.
The wound on her neck oozed dark blood.
In her blood—there was poison.
"You're saving me?" The younger princess felt strength returning to her body bit by bit.
