Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

Her people suffered every time they went to a different place, what exactly does the Individual want for them to see? "P-Please.. show us no more of it, Great One!" The chieftain begged from behind, so returning back above before he turned to face them, "I am a god or perhaps more than that and my purpose in visiting the vast galaxies is to destroy them, and yours also will not be spared." His form had changed, those hazel eyes being in flames.

She trembled again from the determination of his actions, groveling down as the sniffles resonated within her people, while muttering, "No, no.." The burning sight of a planet below theirs, crumbling into dust before being wrapped by a mysterious wave. Forced her to reveal a physique she tried to conceal, "Great One! If that is so, then I wonder what plans you have, now that you have made it known to us of your purpose."

Expressionless, even after hearing her words. Little did she know that the Individual actually appreciated her quickness in perception and so he answered that question. "Arriving at first into your world, all I wanted to do was simply destroy it. However, I've come from a long way and after some contemplation, I decided that I will tell you of my plans and your future."

Overflowing with hopeful expectations, "W-We will naturally follow what your will to us, as we find you to have our own likeness as well. I am called Sidia, the third successor of the Zeiroidian tribe." She had to take a quick breath and out before continuing to say, "Our tribe consists along in the hundreds, including me. Though our species are not the only ones who inhabit the planet, we have adapted and managed our living conditions very well."

After saying those words, Sidia was soon alerted by the cries of her people, seeing them so weak as many of them were unconscious, barely having the strength to persevere. "G-Great One, please send us back to our planet and perhaps we can continue our conversation, in a more pleasant place."

It was, after all, overwhelming to look at the things around them while floating in the vast cosmic space. The Individual agreed and ordered them to close their eyes once more, which they did without complaint. And within a moment, they were now back at their home world, above the land.

Those who were still awake to recognize, happily sprinted. Finding themselves shuddering as they held the very soil of their own planet greatly. Sidia's eyes opened up after hearing how emotional her people became, now feeling lightheaded as her legs wobbled. "Your world shall now be named as Nurne," The Individual's aura held Sidia by the shoulders, "And you may call me.. whatever it is fitting for I don't have one to call myself."

By this time, partial arrays of light had penetrated the little holes of the tall trees, the Individual no longer emitted light on his figure.

Sidia has been held by him, twice now. A tight lipped because of a Zeiroidian belief, regardless, she signaled to her people and they left them in privacy. Then a little girl came inside despite the other guards trying to fend her off, she couldn't be stopped and was eventually caught by Sidia in the ankle.

Weeping from being dragged outside, but she quickly got free at a moment's slip of Sidia's fingers. Making her yell at the girl with words the Individual didn't understand but assumed to of frustration, so he moved behind the girl who was unaware. Greatly controlling his strength before tapping an index finger once on top of her head, which was enough to make the girl yelp.

Bringing confusion to what kind of hard object could possibly hit her skull on this fort, she turned around to see while clutching her head. And in doing so, "E-ehk!?" She stepped back with her widened gaze upon seeing that it was the Individual himself who did the thing. Looking at him closely, she would notice that he looked quite old and scary.

A mistake Sidia couldn't bear to watch, as she proceeded to drag the youngster by her hand and kneeled at the Individual's feet. Much to her surprise, the two of them were now levitating with the girl shouting in joy. Just to be met with an angered gaze from Sidia, her smile soon vanished before turning her head to avoid that gaze.

Sidia pulled the girl's hair, "You rascal! Have you had an ounce of what you just done?" And when the child emitted a painful noise, Sidia quickly let it go. "Obiee! This is abuse, even though I work all day, you know!" How could someone, a child like her, ever understand that the Individual decides their fate? Most importantly, they barely knew him and so Sidia could only hope that he was a good being, like what was promised.

'I wonder if this is what having a family feels like?' He quickly snapped out of it and lowered them down when Sidia was about to plead again for their lives to be spared, "Teacher, why don't you woo him over-" The girl's cheeks were squeezed by Sidia's hand. "Ooo.. Oo.." Still trying to speak something, "He's a guest of our tribe." She says, but seeing the girl's playful expression made Sidia question her. "What are you up to now!"

Raising both arms up, just to say, "Nofing!" But the expression on the girl's face says otherwise, causing Sidia to fall silent.

"Y-You must be joking, right..?" The girl said, but seeing Sidia give an evading look, left her mouth to drop. "Rogea, I'm serious about this." Furrowing her brows, "Well, so am I!" Raising more conflict in Sidia's mind whether to let the youngster join. As Rogea was her successor and with this presented opportunity, she might gain something- anything from the Individual is a guaranteed benefit.

Nonetheless, Sidia also thought that Rogea might annoy the Individual because of her lively energy. Casting another look at him, already expecting an upset, displeased voice and the latter possibility, instead, "Let Rogea listen, if Rogea wants." Fully welcoming the idea and that he was listening intently to their conversation, Sidia breathed a long deserved sigh.

The Individual soon asked about the origin of the mark on Sidia's neck, however, she explained that it was an inheritance left by her predecessor. Not much was told of its importance nor did she know much, except that it was something passed for those who will become the next to lead the Zeiroidian tribe. He told Sidia everything about her mark, which didn't surprise her at first, but eventually couldn't contain herself upon having clarity of its potential.

In turn, she inquired back whether the mark had something to do with her illusions. However, Sidia didn't expect the Individual to be confused. Not because of being unable to tell apart, but it was when he clarified his answer on Sidia's veil from earlier. Realizing that the Individual knew all along that the chief was a she before even introducing her name, regardless, the Individual still emphasized that Sidia shouldn't use illusions on him anymore as it will only provoke him.

Understanding it by heart, Sidia promised not to tamper his vision before requesting what she could do now to live up the Mark's reputation. Meanwhile, Sidia translated their conversation to Rogea, now unable to contain her wonder over the fact and tried to place both of her hands on Sidia's front neck, cutting the words she was about to say next.

Socking another in Rogea's head, "Thonk." While coughing a few times after. The Individual signaled to Sidia before telling her that she would be needing a bed, but all they had was a stack of leaves and little branches underneath. "Now lay yourself flat over there," He said. "Face down?" Shaking his head, "Face up."

Going over slowly on top, arms straight below along with both legs. "What happens now?" The Individual explained that he would be passing over a lot of memories to Sidia's head, and she would feel pain like never before. "W-Will I live through this?" Sidia asked, to which the Individual reassured that she would survive.

Hearing him say that still made her have uneasy breaths, wondering what sort of things she would see. "Let's begin." As the two fingertips of the Individual lit up before it moved from his forehead, then to Sidia, who smiled at Rogea prior to falling unconscious.

Scaring the young girl after seeing her master like that, but the Individual gently patted Rogea's head, while speaking some words. "I wonder what you meant by that, Mister.." Seeing him walk outside, leaving the two inside. A whispering desire may have beckoned Rogea to follow, yet the emotional bond between the two girls were greater, and so she remained at Sidia's side.

Meeting up with the sentinels, who were simply afraid as they didn't even bother to approach him without the presence of their chief. One Zeiroidian whined after the Individual took a half-eaten fruit, kneeling one leg before driving a straight hand into the soil. Grabbing a handful away before placing the bitten fruit and covering it up, providing more than enough essence for the seeds to develop.
