"WHAT IS GOING ON?" Lily asked groggily. The noise coming from the training grounds had jolted her awake, prompting her to go check it out. The first person she encountered was Shadow Guard Loid.
"Young Miss," Shadow Guard Loid greeted, stepping back and lowering his head.
Lily's gaze shifted to the center of the training area, curiosity piqued—only to be stunned by the sight of Prince Zak. Despite still recovering from his wounds, he was practicing martial forms on his own.
"Has he been here for hours?"
"He's never left."
Lily remained quiet for a moment. Then she nodded and walked toward the prince. Shadow Guard Loid silently exited the grounds.
"Hey," she called.
