Leyan immediately zipped up her mouth, sitting in silence as Xiaoyun looked around to see his other wife's reaction.
Most of them looked positive. It was clear he had succeeded in flipping them into his side, at least for now.
"Leyan, why are you so silent all of a sudden? You have something to say earlier, didn't you?"
"No, Master. I don't have anything to say. I apologize if I offended you in any way."
Seeing Leyan looking down in shame, Xiaoyun was a little surprised. Still, he wanted to test the water a little more.
"If you didn't have anything to say, why would you need to apologize for it?"
After a few seconds of silence, Xiaoyun doubled down on his test as he walked closer before lifting her head with his finger.
"You know what, the rewards I was planning to give you are now cancelled. You're going to stand by the wall now and watch."
"Yes, Master."
Leyan quickly accepted Xiaoyun's order, getting up from the sofa and standing still by the wall right across from him.
