"Zoe Yale, come to your senses. I'll take you to the hospital," Charles White said as he supported the person in his arms who had been fidgeting non-stop, immensely thankful that he had driven his car today instead of coming by bicycle.
Otherwise, she might have already fallen off the car by now!
"I don't want to go to the hospital..." Zoe Yale's little face was flushed, and just now she had been reaching out to pull at Charles White's tie. As soon as she heard the word 'hospital,' she calmed down.
"I'll behave, I won't go to the hospital."
She sat motionless in the passenger seat, like a bullied little rabbit with pursed lips and a grievous look in her eyes as she gazed at him.
