Aldana Candi looked up at Liam Summer: "Will I ever be able to stand up again?"
Liam Summer nodded and gave her a gentle smile, speaking softly, "My senior fellow specializes in this research. Given your current condition, there's still hope that you'll be able to stand in the future."
"Can I make it from the bedroom to the bathroom on my own?"
Steven Balance bit her pale neck and spoke with annoyance, "Didn't I say you have me? Why on earth would you do it alone?"
Aldana Candi, with her head lowered, gazed at her powerless legs. If she could stand up in the future, even if she couldn't walk much, being able to take care of herself would be enough...
A flicker of stars emerged in her previously dimmed eyes. Watching the expression on her face, Liam Summer's gaze softened further and he gently stroked her hair.
Steven Balance's face looked sour as he sarcastically said, "With your current attitude, forget about the future. Consider yourself lucky if I don't play you to death."
