Chapter 18 - Chapter-18

"Most of the petrified demons have been eliminated... but it seems they are the last remaining in the human realm. Here in this ominous forest... isn't it a little too much of a coincidence?" Akira whispered to herself, unease creeping into her heart as the shadows deepened around her.

"Master, did they come here for your soul?" Nir doubted the situation

Akira shook her head, her mind racing. "I'm just a small flower fairy. This body doesn't possess the kind of power that would draw a petrified demon. They weren't here until this morning. There's something—or someone—powerful nearby." She scanned the surrounding trees, their twisted branches resembling clawed hands reaching out for them.

"Master... There are two nearby... but they are too powerful for me to look into their identity. What should we do now?" Nir's voice was tight, a combination of fear and determination.

"Nir... don't attack the demons and when they are near try to defend. Let them attack me if it's necessary."

"Master... but..."

"A mere flower spirit defeating demons would be too exaggerated."

Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted. The petrified demons emerged from the shadows, their grotesque forms slithering through the underbrush. They surrounded them, their hollow eyes filled with a hunger that froze the air. Akira and Nir steadied themselves, their power was enough to handle them but Akira suddenly sensed it;

"Nir it's him... that f****ing phoenix."

"What!! Lord Nirav... Out of all options... he!!"

Akira stopped her powers and tried to attack the demons like a helpless fairy. She was fighting while Nir tried his best to defend. In one swift motion, Akira feigned weakness, casting aside their defenses. The illusion of weakness was woven in a second.

Nirav and Adhyant sensed demons nearby and rushed to help.

A demon trying to save a small fairy from other groups of demons. The scene they witnessed when they reached stunned them. Nirav unsheathed his sword and lunged forward. In a single, fluid motion, he cleaved through the petrified demons, their bodies disintegrating into shimmering dust as their souls vanished like fireflies extinguished by darkness.

Adhyant rushed towards the wounded girl. He knelt beside her, stunned "Lord," he breathed, eyes wide with disbelief, "it's a fairy from the Flower Realm!" The air crackled with tension, and time seemed to stand still as they braced for what would come next.
