Chapter 580 - Chapter 580: Marines, Cipher Pol, Neo-Marines

Pau Ra Pa lifted her left hand. She powered her large cannon. It glowed bright and fired a beam. The beam went flying through the air and hit several Marines. There was a loud explosion and the Marines went flying into the air and hit the ground.

Rose General spawned pearl shields on its hands. "Fireball Pearl Surprise," she said as her hands clashed together, generating an intense burst of superheated fireballs that shot outward in rapid succession. The fireballs struck the Cipher Pol agents, the flames spreading across their uniforms as it consumed fabric.

"ARGHHH," one shouted as panic set in. The agents dropped to the ground, rolling desperately to extinguish the flames. Some managed to smother the fire, but their bodies gave out, collapsing under the strain, smoke curling from their scorched clothing.

Marianne aimed her Yellow Gun. "Yellow Dice Shot," she said as a yellow, dice-shaped projectile shot through the air, speeding toward the Neo-Marines clustered ahead. The dice detonated on impact, triggering a chain explosion that sent enemy soldiers flying. Blood was spitting from their lips before they crashed to the ground.

Marianne thought there were many of them.

A squadron of Marines rushed toward Pau Ra Pa, firing their rifles. However, the bullets pinged off its armor. Pau Ra Pa lifted its right arm. She swung her pink sword. With a single slash, it cut through the Marines, the force splitting the air, sending bodies spinning before collapsing onto the ground. Their blood stained the battlefield.

Marianne had changed a number of Marines to her side. They turned against their allies and opened fire on their former comrades.

"Stop!,"one Marine shouted.

"I can't!" he shouted back as his hands shook, yet his finger pulled the trigger, the shot hitting his friend directly.

Another Marine, seeing the betrayal, rushed forward, hacking down the shooter without hesitation.

One Cipher Pol agent, desperately, fired a shot directly at Rose General. The bullet bounced off, harmlessly deflected.

What are these machines?" he asked.

Another agent, eyes darting between the Love Pirates and the battlefield destruction, swallowed hard. "They're… different," he said.

"Let's call in the big guns," a Marine shouted. "Marine Ship 2, fire on our position," he said on the Den Den Mushi.

The Marine battleship turret shifted, its long barrel adjusting as it locked onto the battlefield. A low hum filled the air, the mechanical components whirring into position.

Then a thick cloud of smoke erupted as the large shell was launched. It rocketed through the sky with a piercing whistle. The projectile slammed into the ground, detonating with a deafening explosion. The blast rippled outward, its force sending shockwaves. Neo Marines and Nipthtal`s men got caught in the explosion. They were sent flying back.

Pau Ra Pa, was also caught in the explosion's radius. She was knocked violently backward. Her metal frame skidded across the ground.

"Pau Ra Pa," Marianne shouted.

At that moment, the roof of the Love Pirates' ship slid open, revealing the colossal artillery piece.

The King Cannon Mark III, ignited an explosive charge, propelling the round forward, its force shaking the ship's very foundations. The air fractured, a resounding boom could be heard as the massive projectile hurled toward its target, leaving behind a thick plume of smoke. The shell traveled high and arched over the ocean.

Then it hit the Marine warship. It was rocked violently as the shell collided against the turret triggering a devastating explosion. A mushroom cloud erupted, fire and debris scattering through the sky as the cannon on the battleship was completely obliterated, its barrel ripped apart, its structure falling into ruin.

A Marine grabbed the Den Den Mushi and said, "We have been hit."

"They… still have people on their ship," one Marine remarked.

At that time, the Neo-Marine warship adjusted its massive cannon, the barrel rotating into position, locking onto a separate Marine battleship. With a thunderous blast, the shell erupted from the barrel, leaving behind a trail of smoke and flame as it soared through the sky. The projectile slammed into the targeted Marine vessel, the force of impact triggering a devastating explosion.

Metal ruptured, debris scattered, flames bursting outward as parts of the ship were torn apart, the deck crumbling under the sheer force of destruction. The warship tilted, struggling against the damage as chaos spread among the Marine ranks.

"Direct hit," a Neo-Marine officer remarked. He looked to see a monster standing near Captain LeMay.

Meanwhile, Pau Ra Pa was getting up. However, before it could fully regain balance, a Cipher Pol agent hurled a thick rope and looped it around its metal frame. It tightening quickly.

Then, another rope from a second Cipher Pol agent. Then another rope. Within moments, multiple Cipher Pol agents had encased Pau Ra Pa in a tangle of restraints, each pulling violently, trying to restrict its movements.

The mech struggled as its limbs jerked against the restraints, unable to move freely. "Hold it down," one agent barked.

Marianne saw this happening. "I'm coming," she said. As she rushed forward. However several Neo-Marines stood in her way. They raised his rifle and squeezed the triggers with their fingers.

The bullets whizzed forward.

At that moment, Rose General intercepted. Its hardened plating absorbed the impact, the bullets deflected harmlessly away.

The Neo-Marines` eyes widened.

"Thanks," she said. "Laughter Yellow," Marianne declared as she dipped her brush in yellow paint. She threw it at a number of Neo-Marines and they started to laugh uncontrollably. They collapsed to the ground laughing hard. However there was still Cipher Pol holding back Pau Ra Pa

All of a sudden, Zala, in her Carnterosaur form, charged in. She lowered her head and crashed into a group of Cipher Pol agents. They were sent flying, their bodies hurling through the air. Then they crashed into the ground.

Saphir sprinted forward. She thrust her weapon, the sharp tip piercing deep into the first Cipher Pol agent, blood spurting as he collapsed onto the battlefield. Without hesitation, she twisted her grip, slashing across another agent. Blood splattered, the second agent as he dropped instantly.

As the agents fell, the ropes around Pau Ra Pa weakened. The mech ripped free. "Pau Ra Pau," she said.

At that moment, Nojiko rushed in. A Marine who was aiming for Zala had his rifle raised.

Nojiko's leg snapped upward, her kick colliding hard against his chest. The force sent him flying, his body skidding across the ground towards Zala.

Zala lifted her foot and slammed it down onto the Cipher Pol agent`s back. His spinal cord shattered.

Through the chaos, Marianne smiled. "Everyone," she said.

Saphir turned, flashing her own grin. "Marianne," she replied.

"You've been busy," Nojiko replied.

"There are lots of them," Zala remarked.

Nojiko saw a Cipher Pol agent on the ground. His body was covered in blood. She approached him and without hesitation, she grabbed him by the collar.

"I want information and I'll spare your life if you talk," Nojiko said.

The agent gritted his teeth, defiant despite his injuries. "I will never say," he responded as he coughed blood.

"Never say?" Nojiko remarked. She tilted her head slightly and then gestured toward Zala, her Carnterosaur form towering over them. "My sister here hasn't been fed in a while," she added.

Her tone became dangerous. "You would make the perfect meal," she said. "*Your bones? Crushed. Your body? Eaten alive," she added. Her face was terrifying.

The agent's breath hitched, his confidence crumbling. His voice was weak, filled with panic. "O-Okay, I'll talk," he responded. Pain clouded his mind. He wasn't thinking straight. He wasn't prepared for this. His eyes flickered toward Zala, the vision of the beast haunting him.

"Good," Nojiko responded. Nojiko's voice softened slightly however her grip remained firm. "How did you find this island?" she asked.

The Cipher Pol agent gasped for breath, his body trembling. "On our ship, we have a Turtle Pose, given by someone higher up," he responded.

Nojiko smirked, satisfied. "Thank you," she said. She released him, then snapped her foot forward, kicking him hard across the face. The impact sent him sprawling, his body jerking once before he lost consciousness completely.

"Turtle pose?" Marianne asked.

"Is that the thing Roba gave you to find this place?" Saphir asked.

"Yes, and I think we should get it off them," Nojiko said.

"Okay, let's do it," Marianne said. Zala and Saphir nodded.
