"All those engaged in revolution, ultimately, are doing it for themselves."
Ambitious schemers, grassroots people who can no longer endure, opportunistic hoodlums, those who join in purely out of excitement without any awareness... even the genuinely 'for everyone' revolutionary, striving for some level of self-satisfaction after realizing the ideal.
"This isn't wrong. What's wrong with acting for oneself? Someone without desires, who wants nothing, unwilling to fight or struggle for themselves in this cruel world, can hardly be considered alive. To live better, to fight for one's own ideals, regardless of whether the means are reasonable or lawful, whether the result builds an era or becomes the subject of ridicule, at least there's nothing wrong with 'acting for oneself'."
Any living being's actions inevitably begin with itself. Even generous people consider their own capacity to help before reaching out. So the grand theme of 'acting for oneself' isn't wrong.
