May is restless as we drive the wagon. She squirms in my arms and flails her limbs.
She'd plowed through all of her remaining supply of sweet bread after we left that inn this morning, and not even her cute puppy eyes had gotten her any more.
Mostly because nobody had the ability to give her something they didn't have to begin with.
Except maybe Celeste, but she was too shy to use her abilities without being directly told to do so by someone.
"Streeeetttcchhhheeeessss...." She whines, wiggling her arms and pouting.
I kiss her forehead with a little hum and a smile. "Do you want down so you can do stretches?"
She nods emphatically and bounces in place. "Down! Down. And Stretches. Please! Thank You!"
"Okay." I help her down from my lap back to the floor of the wagon. "Remember to be careful. There's bumps on the road, after all."
May nods several times.
Once she's on the ground, she crouches and starts moving her arms back and forth, legs as well, keeping low.
