The old man broke down completely as he embraced Nitish — sobbing into his shoulder, his frail body shaking with emotion.
Somewhere deep inside, Nitish's heart wavered too. He wrapped his arms around the man and held him tightly.
"Sir… why are you crying so much?" Nitish asked softly, his voice heavy with emotion.
The man looked up, tears streaming down his face.
"How do I explain this, son? You've done something no one else dared. May the gods always protect you… That boy you killed… Hamil… he murdered my daughter."
Nitish froze.
"She was a secret detective," the man continued, "working to uncover the truth about him… but Hamil found out. And then… he killed her. Ruthlessly."
"I've waited every day since for justice. I even went to the Mayor… tried to tell him about his son's crimes, but he ignored me—dismissed me like dirt."
The man's hands clutched Nitish's arms as he looked into his eyes with both pain and gratitude.
"But you… you were like a divine answer to my prayers. You don't even know me, yet you avenged my daughter. I don't have much to offer, but I do have something… something precious."
He turned, reached into an old tattered sack… and pulled out a small, worn wooden box.
"These belonged to my daughter. She used them in her missions. They're yours now."
He placed the box gently into Nitish's hands.
"Thank you, sir… I'm just glad I could help," Nitish said, his voice full of quiet respect.
He embraced the man one final time, feeling a strange warmth in his chest — the feeling of having done something right.
Then, with determined steps, he walked out of the alley — but instead of returning to the main streets, he slipped into a more secluded area.
A quiet, empty corner of the town.
And once there… he opened the box.
📜 Quest Completed: "A Justifiable Killing"
✅ Rewards:
1000 EXP
Mystery Box ×1
+10 Reputation (Pink Blossom Town)
Nitish's eyes lit up.
"I actually leveled up... already?"
Indeed.
His EXP bar surged, and he was now officially Level 1 — and it hadn't even been two hours since he logged into Celestial Domain.
"If a normal player saw this leveling speed, they'd just uninstall the game in despair," Nitish chuckled to himself.
His eyes turned to the Mystery Box in his inventory — a shimmering cube with faint blue runes etched across its surface.
"Alright then, let's see what you've got for me..."
He clicked Open.
A blinding light burst from the box — pure, radiant energy exploding into the alley like a miniature sun.
Nitish shielded his eyes.
"Damn… If I had opened this in public, half the town would've followed me home."
The light finally faded, and a system prompt appeared:
🎁 Mystery Box Opened: You have obtained a Mysterious Iron Chest!
Nitish's jaw dropped.
"WHOA! A Mysterious Iron chest?! That's two tiers above trash!"
Without wasting time, he opened the chest.
🔓 Mysterious Iron Chest Contents:
Swift Ring(Mysterious Iron Rank)
Swift Strike Sword(Iron Rank, One-Handed)
Slowing Bombs ×5*
Nitish stared at the items in disbelief.
"A mysterious iron-tier item AND an iron weapon?! And I got three items?! That's like hitting a jackpot!"
Normally, these chests only gave two rewards — but Nitish had hit the bonus roll.
His excitement was through the roof.
"People grind for days to get just one of these things… and here I am, dancing with RNG gods in under two hours!"
He looked at the glowing ring on his finger, the sleek new sword gleaming on his back, and the bombs packed neatly in his inventory pouch.
"Yup," he grinned, "this... is just the beginning."
Nitish's eyes widened as he read the attributes of the ring resting in his hand — a shimmering, dark steel band with a faint teal glow.
Swift Ring(Mysterious Iron Rank - Wearable)Attribute Requirement: Agility - 8Active Skill:Nimble Agility – Greatly enhances agility and movement speed for 1 minute. (Cooldown: 3 minutes)Passive Skill: +10% Movement Speed
"This ring… it's a goldmine in itself," Nitish whispered, almost in disbelief. "A passive boost, and an active skill?"
But then he checked his agility. Still at 3.
He quickly opened his stat panel.
Available Attribute Points: 6
He smiled. Every player began with 4 attribute points at level 0, and leveled up with +2. And now that he had just crossed level 1 after completing the hidden quest, all six points were available.
"No need to think—this ring's worth it."
Without hesitation, he dumped all six points into Agility, bringing the stat up to 9.
Immediately, his body felt lighter — almost like air. As he equipped the ring, a warm surge flowed through his limbs. His balance shifted. His reflexes heightened. It was as though his entire body had been trimmed for speed and finesse.
"This… this is incredible," Nitish grinned. "I feel like I'm walking on clouds."
Then, he turned to the next prize from the chest — the blade.
Swift Strike Sword(Iron Rank - One-Handed)Attack Power: 10Attack Speed: 25Active Skill:Swift Slashes – Unleashes rapid attacks on up to five targets, dealing 150% damage per hit.Durability: 105/105
The sword was beautiful. The blade shimmered with a faint blue hue, and its silver hilt glinted under the soft townlight. Unlike the trash-rank sword he'd started with — now almost broken after Hamil's assault — this was on a different level.
"The power's modest, but this speed… that's something even Mysterious Iron weapons would envy."
Nitish sheathed the blade at his waist. It felt natural — like the sword belonged there.
The final item:
Slowing Bombs ×5Throwable item. Reduces enemy movement speed by 50% for 1 minute upon impact.
"These might save my life someday. Perfect for escape or crowd control."
He tucked the bombs securely into his pouch, closed his inventory, and glanced around the dim alley.
"Time to leave town."
There were two reasons.
One — the obvious. He needed to grind. Hunt. Level up. Test his new gear. Two — the more urgent one. Mayor Ranos would definitely be hunting for the mysterious player who'd exposed and led to the execution of his son.
And Nitish? He had no intention of being around for that confrontation.
With no time to waste, he dashed out of the alley and headed straight for the town's exit gate.
His speed was insane.
Between the +10% passive boost from the Swift Ring, the nine agility points, and his naturally light equipment — Nitish was faster than any early-game swordsman had any right to be.
He zipped through streets like a blur.
"What the—!?"
"Is that a... car!?"
"No bro! That's a person!!"
"Wait—he's got a sword on his waist… that's a Swordsman build?"
"Bro did he put all his points in agility?!"
He could hear the shocked mutterings of nearby players, but he didn't slow down. His goal was simple — get out before anyone recognized him.
But then—
📱 Incoming Call: Aryan
Nitish picked up immediately.
"Hello?"
"Bro! I spawned in Red Oak Town," Aryan sounded tense. "Where are you? We're so far apart… What do we do now?"
"Damn, that's far," Nitish muttered. Red Oak was at least a couple of zones away. A good town for beginners — but distant.
He thought for a moment, then responded quickly:
"Listen, I'm sending you info on a quest. Try to complete it — you'll need the boost. Then head toward Mountain Caves. I'm going there too. We'll meet up there."
"Got it, bro. Lead the way. All hail Beta Tester Nitish Maharaj!" Aryan said with a laugh before ending the call.
Nitish smiled faintly, eyes locked on the massive iron gate at the end of the road — the gateway to the wilds outside Pink Blossom Town.
He tightened the grip on his sword's hilt.
"Time to hunt…"
After sending the quest data to Aryan, Nitish sprinted with unmatched speed through the winding trails outside Pink Blossom Town, aiming for the Mountain Caves.
The road gradually turned rocky, and dense woodland hugged the slopes near the base of the mountain. He slowed as the trees thickened, the undergrowth crackling softly underfoot.
Suddenly—His steps froze.
"Someone's here…" he whispered, eyes scanning the canopy and brush.
A low, menacing growl echoed through the silence.
RAAAAAAAWWWRRRRR!
A massive grey wolf leaped out from behind the underbrush, fangs bared and claws primed for blood.
Nitish instinctively dove to the side—but not fast enough.
SLASH!
The wolf's claws grazed across his side. A line of red slashed across his health bar.
"ARGHH!"(HP: 70/100 → 40/100)
He rolled back, unsheathing his Swift Strike Sword, the steel flashing as he swung.
WHOOSH!
The wolf twisted mid-air, dodging the strike with fluid agility.Nitish struck again — faster this time — but the beast still avoided it.
Grey Wolf (Level 4)HP: 290/290
"Damn! That last hit took thirty percent of my health," Nitish muttered, gritting his teeth. "No way I can tank another hit like that…"
He turned and ran.
Not out of fear — but strategy.
The wolf growled and lunged after him with terrifying speed.
CRASH!Its claw narrowly missed, instead cleaving a nearby tree clean in half.
"Okay… that would've killed me," Nitish muttered, adrenaline spiking.
The wolf leaped again — this time fangs aimed directly at his throat.
But Nitish was ready.
"Now!!"
With lightning reflexes, Nitish turned on his heel, activated his ring's Nimble Agility skill and simultaneously triggered Swift Slashes.
Time seemed to slow.
His sword blurred —slashslashslash
Three rapid strikes hit the wolf mid-air, slicing deep into its flank.
RAAAAAAAAARRGH!
The beast yelped, staggering back. Blood splattered the leaves around them.
Nitish didn't stop. He surged forward, pressing the attack. Despite his lower attack power, his incredible speed kept him on even ground.
Grey Wolf HP: 290 → 90
"Almost… just a bit more!" Nitish pushed himself harder, heart pounding.
Suddenly, the wolf howled again and whipped around—its thick tail snapped forward, catching Nitish's ankle.
SMASH!
He was flung into a tree, coughing up blood as pain exploded through his chest.
(HP: 40 → 15)
The wolf charged again.
Nitish gritted his teeth, barely managing to dodge. His legs screamed with effort, but he held steady.
CLANG! CLANG!
He blocked two more swipes, then—timing it just right—stepped to the side and unleashed Chop straight into the wolf's exposed belly.
SLAAAASH!
The wolf screamed. Its movements staggered.
"Got you now—!!"
Nitish activated Swift Slashes again, cleaving through the wolf in a frenzy.
SLAASH!
SLAASH!
SLAASH!
The wolf shuddered… then collapsed.
✅ Grey Wolf killed!🎉 +300 EXP gained!
Nitish stood over the corpse, breathing heavily. His arms trembled, his legs felt like jelly.
"That… was intense."
No level up yet — but he'd taken down a Level 4 monster at Level 1. That was huge.
He wiped the blood from his mouth and crouched near the wolf's corpse.
"Now… let's see what loot you've got for me, big guy."
