Aozawa pushed off the window frame with his paws, leaped onto the girl, then curled up, searching for a comfortable spot.
His snow-white fur brushed against her skin.
"Haha," the girl straightened up, laughing. "That tickles! You're so mischievous!"
This is the life of a cat overlord, Aozawa mused, finally living the dream.
The clubroom door creaked open as someone barged in.
"Summer Flower, they were out of green tea, so I got you a bottle of black tea."
The soft, sweet voice caught Aozawa's attention. In his memory, only one girl spoke like that.
A girl with black hair covering her ears stepped inside. She took off her shoes and placed them neatly in the middle of the shoe rack by the door.
Her feet, clad in gray stockings, padded onto the tatami mats.
"Shouko, look how pretty this cat is!" Natsuka Yanagimachi exclaimed, picking Aozawa up and holding him forward to show off.
