On a small boat 4 individuals sailed across the ocean. The sea was calm.
"We are approaching the island Bertholdt, Annie and Marcel," said a man with short blond hair. He had hazel eyes and defined nose. He had a scar on his right cheek. He was tall and had broad shoulders. He wore black pants, a green shirt and a coat on top of it.
"I can see it," Marcel responded. He had short dark hair which was swept back. He had an upturned nose. He was wearing an eye-patch on one of his eyes. He was somewhat short. He was dressed in a long jacket. He had black jeans and black shoes.
"We can all see it, Renier," Annie said as she slammed her fist against her palm. She was short with a small yet very muscular build. She had moderate short blonde hair that was tied at the back with her right fringe. She has an oval-shaped face with blue eyes, a Roman nose, and pale complexion. She wore a short sleeve shirt which showed the curves of her breasts. She also had dark gray pants.
"Yes, we are almost there," Bertholdt added. He was a tall, slender man. He had short, black hair with pale green eyes, thin eyebrows and an elongated face. Bertholdt wore a blue sweater with a white button down underneath and tan pants.
"It has been far too long," Renier said as he walked towards the bow of the ship. "We should have done this years ago," he added as he touched the scar on his face.
"It came," Marcel said. "It destroyed everything," he added.
"The power of the founding titan will help us win against him," Renier said. He thought back to the man who had long black hair. He had some device on his left eye. He had a long black tail and could fly. He had come and started to kill everyone. "We will kill him," he added.
They arrived on the shoreline and jumped off the boat. "This is it," Marcel said as he walked on the sandy beach. He looked around and saw an open field.
"Let's stick to the plan," Renier said as he jumped off the boat and looked around.
"Once we get the founding titan, we can go back," Annie said. She thought back to her home, her father and him. That man.
"Okay," Bertholdt said as he jumped off the boat as well.
The group moved through the dense forest. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. There were twisted roots and gnarled branches along their path.
"We should be at the Wall soon," Renier said as he looked around.
Then they heard footsteps. Annie froze. "What is that?" she asked as she looked around. She tried to see what was making the sound.
All of a sudden, a titan emerged from the tree line. It crashed through the brush with terrifying speed. Its gaping maw stretched wide which showed its jagged teeth gleaming with saliva. It charged toward Marcel.
"Watch out," Renier shouted as he saw the titan coming toward him.
Marcel turned, too late. The Titan was already upon him, its massive form casting a dark, hulking shadow. "No," Marcel said as he barely had time to react.
At that moment, the sky split open. A portal tore through reality. It was swirling with unnatural energy.
Then a F-15 fighter jet roared out, its metallic form slicing through the clouds. The missile bay opened, releasing its payload. The missile ignited instantly and a trail of fire streaked through the tree line. It slammed into the Titan's chest, detonating on impact.
A thunderous explosion erupted and flames engulfed the creature as its body was blown backward. The titan crashed into the forest floor.
The F-15 looped around and banked away.
"Was that him?" Bertholdt shouted. He looked stunned to see such power.
Renier's eyes followed the jet. "No," he replied.
The portal remained open. The unnatural energy was flickering in the sky. Then, two more machines emerged.
A Blackbird reconnaissance jet soared out and it banked away. It was followed by a Blackhawk helicopter which came out. Its rotors slicing through the air.
The Blackhawk headed straight towards the group on the ground.
"What is that?" Annie asked as she looked at the strange machine. She had seen birds fly and planes however this machine was different.
"Is it another enemy?" Bertholdt asked.
The Blackhawk descended, kicking up dust. The side doors slid open, revealing four figures dressed in white uniforms.
Misuzu, Yuuki, Tsunoda, and Hisashi stepped onto the ground.
Annie took a step forward. "Who are you?" she demanded.
Misuzu looked at them. "We are from our Goddess. She has sent us to aid you in your cause," she responded in a firm tone.
Marcel was still panting, recovering from the blast.
"The Founding Titan?" Reiner asked. He thought they were after that.
Yuuki shook her head. "The Goddess is beyond that," she replied.
Renier thought they were talking nonsense. They looked like teens out of school. "We have important things to do," he said. He thought of the mission. He thought why they had been sent here. "If you get in our way, there will be trouble," he warned.
"Speak with respect," Tsunoda remarked.
"We are here to help," Hisashi said as he stepped forward.
Annie studied them carefully. They seemed powerless but the machines behind them were anything but. She looked at the Blackhawk. "What is that behind you?" she asked.
Misuzu looked back and smiled. "This is Blackhawk. A machine of war," she responded. "We have many more like them," she added. Then her voice turned more serious. "The Goddess told me of your goal for power. That alone will not be enough. You need more, and she will lend it to you," she said. Misuzu was informed by the Goddess as they flew through the portal.
"How can we trust you?" Bertholdt asked as he stepped forward. He thought they had just come from the sky. He thought that man had also come from the sky.
"We saved your lives," Yuuki responded. She looked at them. She wondered why the Goddess had chosen them.
"We can handle ourselves," Renier said as he bit his lips. At that moment, his muscles tensed and his body shuddered violently. There was a flash of light and crackling energy around him.
Renier's pulse pounded like a war drum. His fingers trembled from the raw power building within. The ground beneath him trembled as the vibration reverberated through the forest floor.
There was a deafening boom sound as smoke erupted. The force sent leaves spiraling into the air. Renier`s body twisted, expanding unnaturally. His muscles surged and grew impossibly dense. His tendons stretched and his bones reinforced themselves under the sheer mass of transformation.
Layer by layer, his flesh hardened. A glimmer of metallic sheen replaced the soft skin. There were thick slabs of bone-like armor forming over his shoulders, chest, and limbs.
As the smoke finally began to thin, his form loomed, monstrous and imposing.
There the Armored Titan stood. He was nearly 15 meters tall. His muscles were enormous, and encased in glistening, plated armor. He had deep-set eyes with a solid brow. His jawline was reinforced with solid armor. His hands were massive. His fingers were encased in layered plating. His legs were thick and had similar armor.
He took a single step, the impact cracking the ground beneath him. Then he swung his fist.
Misuzu looked at the attacking coming. She lifted her hand, her ring pulsing with violet energy. In an instant, a radiant glow enveloped her. She had quickly transformed into her purple bodysuit. She had thigh-high boots. There was a star-shaped emblem glowing at her waist. Her gloves extended past her elbows, and atop her head, a glowing, purple headpiece could be seen.
"Shield," she said as a massive glowing purple barrier formed before her.
The Armored Titan`s fist struck it. The impact reverberated, sending shockwaves through the forest but the barrier held.
Misuzu braced herself, feeling the force push against her.
"What is that?" Annie muttered. Her eyes widened. She looked in disbelief. She saw the Armored Titan punch being blocked so easily.
Marcel exhaled shakily, still watching. "Incredible… She blocked a Titan punch, just like that man," he said.
Then, a new sound rumbled. Blackout started to transform. His body shifted, mechanical parts twisting and shifting as his form grew taller and heavier. His red eyes glowed. There were jagged spikes crowning his head. "The Goddess has offered you power and strength," he said as his hands changed to a cannon.
Renier, still in Titan form, stared at him. He thought they were not ordinary. He thought back to that man. He thought it was not wise to make more enemies at this moment.
"Let's make a deal. If you help us get the Founding Titan, we will join you," he offered.
At that moment he felt a light strike his head. He saw a vision of his country on fire, his home destroyed, soldiers and people on the floor dead. There were titans on the floor dead. He saw Annie, Marcel and Bertholdt all dead. He saw himself on the ground lying with a broken body bleeding out. He saw himself being powerless to stop it. Then he saw the man. He was flying looking at the world on fire. Then he saw something else. The vision changed to his world being consumed by darkness, by red lightning. It was being devoured by something. Then he heard a voice, "Go."
Annie, Bertholdt and Marcel all had visions. Their faces were covered in sweat. "What was that?" Bertholdt asked.
"What was the ending?" Marcel asked.
Misuzu took a step forward. "The Goddess will have all your answers. Our Goddess has spoken and we will assist you in destroying the wall only. Then you will come immediately," she stated.
"Our goal is the founding titan," Marcel responded.
Renier changed back to his human form. "There is something more, beyond our understanding here," Renier said.
"That vision was real, "Annie remarked. "I would like to see your Goddess," she said. She thought of her father. She wanted answers.
"The Goddess will provide all the answers in due time," Yuuki reiterated.
Annie and Renier looked at each other and nodded. "Very well, we agree," Renier said.
"This is a change from our original plans," Bertholdt said.
"After that vision, everything has changed," Annie said.
Misuzu smiled. "The Goddess will guide us," she said.
