At the base of the radiant pillar of light stood a massive, ancient structure, its stone walls partly devoured by time and nature. Towering roots coiled around broken pillars, merging with the cracked masonry, as if the forest itself had claimed the building as one of its own. At the heart of it all rose an enormous tree, its trunk thick as a fortress wall, its branches spreading wide like a crown of age-old wisdom.
Seth, the vampire, stood at the edge of the ruin, staring up at the pillar of light with a helpless expression.
"Tch… all I did was touch one rune," He muttered, glancing at the glowing symbols now spiraling faintly across the tree's bark, "Who would've thought it'd set off such a huge reaction?"
The beacon-like pillar rose into the sky, piercing the clouds in a display that would catch anyone's attention.
"This isn't good. Everyone inside the realm is going to rush here now."
