The sun screamed as it tore through the vacuum, a mass of molten, cosmic fury born in the palm of a Dragon Slayer. Aiden's glare was locked on Alpha, lips curled in defiance as the miniature star collided with its target—engulfing the synthetic god in a world-shaking explosion. Space trembled. The curvature of the Earth flickered behind the blaze like a candle under storm winds.
Aiden hovered above it all, his form outlined by cosmic fire, his breath slow, heavy. The detonation painted his armor in red and gold, his aura thrumming like a war drum.
He stared into the inferno. Waiting. Hoping.
And then—he saw it.
A silhouette. Standing. Untouched.
Alpha emerged from the heart of the explosion as if it were nothing more than a sunrise. The fire curled off his shoulders like a lover's touch. His hair now shone a radiant red, glowing strands flowing upward like they were alive. His eyes—brighter than before, molten crimson, glowing with madness and hunger.
"MORE!" Alpha's voice echoed across the void like thunder over the ocean. His grin stretched wide. "I want more of it!"
Aiden's brows drew together. "What the hell was that… how did you—"
But Alpha didn't let him finish.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM!?" he roared, arms thrown open to the cosmos.
Aiden gritted his teeth, trying to analyze, to calculate—but there was no pattern. No vulnerability. Just constant evolution.
"I am made of all mutants that have ever existed," Alpha declared, his voice calm now—too calm. "Even the original one... Apocalypse. But that's not all."
Aiden's eyes narrowed, watching every shift, every movement.
"Inside me lies a gift... A truth of the universe itself. The ability to adapt. Not just evolve. I can understand, I can integrate—I can become anything I fight." Alpha's hands lit up with a familiar glow. "Let me show you something."
A familiar heat began to rise in the airless cold. Aiden's eyes widened.
"No..."
Alpha, grinning with perfect imitation, conjured his own miniature sun. It was raw, unstable, furious—just like Aiden's.
And then he hurled it.
Aiden's body moved without thinking. He extended his mouth, inhaling the cosmic fire as the artificial sun flew into him. His body flared, internal pressure surging—but there was no pain. No damage. The energy dissolved, breaking into streams of power that flowed into his bloodstream. His muscles flexed. His skin steamed. His aura burst around him like a flaming nova.
But even as the energy was digested, even as he absorbed it perfectly...
He wasn't smiling.
'This isn't good' Aiden floated backward, fists clenched, sweat beading on his brow 'He's not just countering my attacks. He's replicating them. And he's getting stronger doing it'
"Wait—he's still alive!? How's that even possible!?"Galacta blinked as she floated beside Aiden, now shrunk to his size, her cosmic aura glowing dim with disbelief.
Aiden didn't take his eyes off Alpha.
"Because this damn thing… is supposed to be a copy of me," he muttered.
"So what!" Galacta huffed. "Let's beat him up! We're a team now, right!? Lord Dragon God can do this easy!"
But before Aiden could respond, Alpha's voice cut through the cold vacuum of space.
"Your 'Lord' is afraid," Alpha said, stepping forward, his smile widening. "He knows he can't win. Any attack he uses, I learn. Any move he makes, I evolve. I'm the future, born from his own shadow."
Above them, a massive black vessel cut across the stars like a blade. The sky shimmered with eldritch circuitry as a booming voice echoed across the atmosphere.
"Aiden Blake," High Evolutionary's voice thundered, "Dragon Slayer Supreme. Your true power lies in your ability to devour… to absorb anything, and make it yours. Elements. Energies. Forces of nature and of concept. You consumed Chaos Magic, the Phoenix Force, even the Void left by Knull himself."
Aiden's eyes narrowed.
"How do you—"
"When Knull possessed you," the voice went on, smug and clinical, **"he accessed your memories. Your secrets. Your fears. You see, your gift is not without limits. You are not immune to damage—you can only become immune after consumption. And even then, the process takes time. You nearly died to the Necrosword before it submitted to you... all to help you digest it better."
"That was your fatal flaw, Aiden. You were never perfect."**
The skyship hovered overhead like a judge preparing the sentence.
"But Alpha… my Alpha… He does not need to digest. He does not need time. He only needs to touch your power once—and it's his. Your strength, your flames, your magic, your chaos—it all becomes his. You have no path forward. It is over, Aiden Blake. You will either give him everything… or watch as he burns your world with your own power."
Silence.
Galacta's cosmic form shivered.
Even Alpha tilted his head, expecting surrender.
Instead, Aiden—Dragon God, Devourer of Forces, Protector of Earth—began to laugh.
Not a soft chuckle.
A barking, roaring, insane-sounding laugh that echoed through the stars.
"My Lord?" Galacta asked, unsure.
"What's so funny?" Alpha frowned.
"Have you finally gone mad?"
Aiden wiped a tear from his eye, then grinned—wide, draconic, and impossibly sharp.
His skin shimmered white, light bending around him as his aura expanded, no longer burning with mere fire, but existence itself.
"No, no… you're absolutely right," Aiden said. "I can't beat something that copies me every time I attack."
He cracked his neck. Flexed his hands. His dragon aura rippled like a storm about to erupt.
"You absorb. You copy. You evolve. Real cute."
He raised a single glowing claw.
"But you missed one thing."
He smiled—and this time, there was hunger behind it.
"I don't have to defeat you."
Alpha blinked. "You… what?"
High Evolutionary's voice cut in again. "You think you can imprison him?"
"No," Aiden said simply. "I didn't say that either."
And then he bared his teeth—those teeth—gleaming like divine daggers.
"I just have to fucking EAT him."
"WHAT!?""WHAT!?""WHAT!?"
Alpha reeled back—but too slow.
Aiden moved.
In a burst of light and flame, faster than Alpha could react, Aiden slammed into him, fangs bared. A piece of Alpha's shoulder vanished—ripped clean off.
He didn't absorb it.
He devoured it.
"W-What!? That's—"
"You can copy energy," Aiden growled, eyes glowing with the light of a dying star. "But you can't adapt to being consumed. There's no coming back from being eaten alive."
Alpha screamed and fired off a solar flare—but Aiden swallowed it mid-flight and returned the blast point-blank, melting off half of Alpha's face.
"You're not a god," Aiden whispered. "You're my f*ing meal."**
He lunged again—biting off Alpha's left arm as the red-haired creature wailed, power leaking from the wound.
"STOP! I AM THE PERFECT BEING! I CANNOT BE—"
"Tasted like rotten ambition," Aiden muttered, wings flaring.
In a flurry of motion, claw and tooth tore through Alpha piece by piece. Every time Alpha tried to adapt, Aiden shifted. Lightning became chaos. Chaos became fire. Fire became Void. The more Alpha learned, the more Aiden changed the game.
And each time Alpha's flesh was torn, Aiden devoured it with a burning grin and zero mercy.
High Evolutionary watched—silent—his eyes wide behind his glowing mask.
His perfect creation, his Alpha, the apex of a billion mutations and experiments…
Was being eaten.
There was no adapting.
There was no resisting.
There was only Aiden Blake, Dragon God of Earth, and his final meal.
In one final roar, Aiden's jaws unhinged, his form monstrous and divine, and he consumed Alpha whole in a blinding blaze of light that shattered the sky like glass.
Silence.
Aiden stood alone now, breathing heavy, surrounded by drifting ash and fractured space.
"I Always thought I wouldn't steep so low to eat another entity....I feel like I just committed cannibalism....But at the same time...It liberated me....I feel good...Like I've fulfilled an instinct of mine....Now....Your turn"
He looked up at High Evolutionary ship.
