"Eyes up here, big guy," a voice called out, steady and defiant.
High atop a crumbling building stood a bruised figure, Kaijin slung carefully over their shoulder. Cuts lined their arms, blood trickled down the side of their lip, and their posture trembled from pain—but the fire in their eyes remained unshaken.
The Blue Devil's vision was just beginning to return. As he blinked away the residual flash of light, he looked up toward the rooftop. His eyes narrowed.
"You!!" he growled.
"Surprised, huh?" the figure replied.
Kaijin stirred faintly at the sound of the voice. His eyes remained shut from the blinding flash and the sheer speed of movement—but something about that voice tickled at his memory.
"I… I know that voice…" Kaijin murmured weakly, his eyelids fluttering.
As his vision cleared, he blinked rapidly, squinting at the silhouette above.
"Sutefu…-chan?" he said, his voice cracking with disbelief and relief.
