(Next Day)
I woke up in my comfortable bed and I walked over to my workshop.
I saw the stone on the table and I couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity and Deja Vu I was having about the stone. I supposed I'd have to study the stone carefully.
I had cast a litany of diagnostic spells on the stone, both Wizard and Sorcerer spells. When I got the results, everything seemed to click.
The bright flash of light, the stone, the forest. I was in Alagaësia.
Knowing I was in the world of Eragon and the fact that apparently I am a Dragon Rider, was shocking to say the least.
I knew I was a dragon rider as everything pointed to that fact. The flash of light was the spell Arya cast to send the Stone to it's rightful place, where it would find a rider.
I had never read about a black stone in any of the books and it wasnt shown in the movie. So, it is safe to say that this is not the book or movie version of this world and is actually an Alternate Universe.
Even if it was an AU, it's somehow one geared towards another rider existing and that rider happened to be me.
If this world follows more the books rather than the movie, I have at least a day or two until mine and Eragon's dragons will hatch.
I'd like for our dragons to hatch at the same time so that it will be unknown that there are two riders until Durza captures Arya as she was somewhat connected to each of the stones, maybe it was the spell she used to send them to us. She would definitely know who they were sent to and when they hatch.
After knowing which world I had arrived in, and a basic understanding of the timeline, I'd planned to find out where in the world I was.
I used the disillusionment spell and took out something I had created during my time training with Balthazar.
I had already had the knowledge to create flying brooms, but I didn't like that design and planned to create a different design once I was more proficient at magic.
Eventually though, one thing led to another and I had forgotten about that project, only remembering by the time I'd reached the Sorcerer's Apprentice world.
I had created essentially a flying hover board. I had carved the shape of a long-board from a tree, completely added all the enchantments and even incorporated some Sorcery to the board to make it work better.
I flew through the air on my board and I realized that I was very close to Carvahall, I made my way closer and i could actually see Eragon himself entering the butcher shop as he had traveled through the night to reach Carvahall in the hope of getting food.
Knowing where I was, I flew down to an area where I wouldn't easily be noticed, transfigured my clothes to be similar to the clothes I saw people wearing.
The clothes looked rather plain, but actually were extremely nice.
I was able to secretly 'acquire' some local
currency and one spell later and I had amassed a small fortune, Gemino Charm for the win.
Deciding to insert myself into the story at the perfect moment, I took the place of Horst and paid not only for the meat that Eragon wanted, but enough for a day or two.
Eragon was stunned at what had happened which was so quick he had to pause to take it all in, then he was suspicious and questioned me about my motives.
"I'm just a traveler and wanted to help you out. No more, no less. All I ask is that you pay this kindness forward in the future." I had said seemingly satisfying Eragon, but I did feel as if I was being watched and I assumed it was most likely Brom stalker father of the year.
I walked out with Eragon and I was asking him about the surrounding areas, hoping to determine if this was more the book world or the movie world.
What I discovered is that this was mostly the book world but seems to have been following the plot of The movie. This will most likely last until the movie is over then there will probably be a shift away from the movie.
It seems to me that this world is essentially keeping all the good parts, but none of the bad parts of the movie.
I was glad that the King's soldiers weren't a big thing like they were in the movie. They would rarely be in the village.
After telling Eragon that I wished him well, we went our seperate ways, not forgetting to tell him that I had a cabin in the woods that he could visit if he wanted.
I planned to create the cabin soon enough and it'd be insanely easy with magic, I just couldn't make the inside so big, only slightly bigger enough to make people only a little surprised that it looked smaller on the outside but nothing else.
I had headed back to the forest as I planned to make my way back to my barrier where I would enter my workshop and plan my building of my cabin.
However, as I was walking into the forest, I sensed someone was following me, my guess was that it was Brom.
As I walked behind a tree I disappeared from Brom's eyesight, using the disillusionment charm and Apparation to get behind him.
'I will give him a fun little greeting' I thought to myself as I picked up a fallen branch and transformed it into a bastard sword.
(Brom POV)
I had been watching over(stalking) Eragon as I normally did when I noticed a stranger appear in the village, I had never seen him before and I worried that I may have been discovered.
This stranger had interacted with Eragon paying for some meat and giving him a little money.
I didn't know what this stranger's thoughts were towards Eragon so I decided to follow him into the forest.
I followed after him for a mile before he walked past a large tree then all of the sudden I couldn't see him, I paused and looked around until I heard steps behind me and I unsheathed Za'Roc to attack him only to find out a sword was already at my neck.
"You might live long enough to regret clashing blades with me stranger." I said as I had years of experience to include training from the elves and this stranger only looked to be in his 30s.
(MC POV)
"You might live long enough to regret clashing blades with me stranger." Brom said and I was happy to note that he looked like Jeremy Irons.
"We shall see. Why were you following me?" I asked him.
"Why were you talking to that young boy?" Brom asked back.
"Young boy? Oh you mean Eragon?" I asked.
"Yes, I saw you talking with him and you even gave him some money. What plans do you have for him?" Brom asked and I could tell from his posture that the only reason he hadn't attacked yet, despite being ready to, was that he wanted information.
"I see. You seem to have misunderstood my intentions." I replied which got a subtle eye raise from Brom.
"How?" He asked.
"I have no plans for the boy, I am new to this region and I thought the boy might be able to help me out with some general information. I saw that he seemed to be trying to sell some sort of stone to the butcher but it wasn't accepted, I helped him out by buying the meat and I gave him a little money to help him in the future, call it a payment for the information he gave me." I explained giving out the information of the stone to make Brom suspicious and make him focus more on Eragon and the possible Dragon Egg.
"I see, I apologize for my mistake." Brom said as he sheathed Za'Roc.
"It's quite alright, you must be close to the boy if you were willing to follow a stranger into the woods and risk getting into a fight." Insaid as I began to walk away not seeing the slightly widened eyes of Brom.
Brom was still a little suspicious of the stranger.
'if what he said about Eragon was true, I must confirm my suspicions.' Brom thought to himself.
