As he trudged into the dark cave, Richard felt himself slipping further and further away from consciousness.
He coughed up another mouthful of blood as he finally entered into the cave's mouth.
After walking through the snowstorm for what felt like an eternity, he had finally found shelter.
The cave had been rather large and ominous, resembling the maw of some abhorrent world-eating nightmare.
Now, it didn't seem so bad.
He collapsed to the floor, his back leaning against the cavernous walls.
'Are you guys still there?' He thought weakly.
'Scared you are going to slip away?' An insidious voice came through into his mind from the depths of his soul.
Richard grimaced,
'You bastards are lucky I'm being lenient.'
He sighed.
