Quinlan's lips turned upwards with satisfaction. A slow, genuine smile.
"That woman really is something, isn't she? The Consortium is in a full-blown war with the Greenvale Dukedom, and from what I can tell, we aren't exactly winning… Yet she still diverts assets just to help me settle a personal score…"
Vex chuckled hearing that, brushing her white hair behind one ear. "She's awesome for certain, hubby. As long as you don't ask any of her peers, that is. They'd probably describe her with words like 'demonic,' 'lunatic,' and 'craziest, most unhinged bitch they ever had the displeasure of working with'"
