Kenpachi continues to walk forward. There is nothing of interest here right now, so he prefers to see where he landed. From his knowledge, which has finally been unlocked again, he can tell that this might be a Death World, judging by the flora and the fauna as well. The giant poison-spitting spider was one example and if there was one, there were more. So if that was something to be aware of, then this was surely a dangerous planet.
Unlike most people in his place, Kenpachi didn't cower or fear this. On the contrary, it spurned him on to see more of this world and fight more creatures. The current Kenpachi was different from the one he was in the Bleach World. In the world of Bleach, Kenpachi Zaraki was a battle maniac. He craved battle and the closer he was to death, the better. He didn't care about anything else as long as he had fun. But the current Kenpachi was different.
He was an amalgamation of three different people. The first one was Kenpachi from Bleach. The second one was the soul from the first life, who reincarnated and became Kenpachi. He was a normal human once and knows of the 21st century. His meta knowledge will help him and influence his decisions now and stop him from just searching thrill in battle.
The final part of the new Kenpachi is the soul he fused with when he came to this grim dark universe. The Soul of a Primarch.
The Primarchs were bred to be perfect generals, warriors and statesmen; larger, stronger, faster, and smarter than any normal Human could ever hope to be. They possessed a potent charisma and martial prowess that made them like the mythical gods of old, untouchable by disease, old age or supposedly the petty failings of lesser men.
Each embodied an aspect of war; one was the greatest strategist ever known, another the personification of the terror of war, a third the master of psychic powers, a fourth the greatest practitioner of the arts of fortification, and so on. The Primarchs were the Emperor's answer to reclaiming all the lost worlds of Mankind and welcoming them into His new Imperium.
The Emperor intended to raise His sons to be the best military commanders and political leaders in Human history. They would bring the Imperial Truth to the rest of the Human-settled galaxy in their father's name, serving as His generals and proconsuls. The only problem was that they were yeeted through the Warp to different planets across the galaxy and were raised by the different circumstances of their respective worlds.
Kenpachi was more of the same in this regard. The Primarch soul he fused with was a beast in its own right. What the original Primarch's role would have been, we might never know, but it doesn't matter. Kenpachi was made for war and battle, so the Imperium can be assured of his success.
.
As Kenpachi walked through the dense jungle filled with mud and carnivorous plants, a predator of the region suddenly sensed him. Despite the culture of Yngiyo saving the people from most of the dangers of the Age of Strife, since they just hovered above all the shit that was happening down below, it still affected the planet as a whole. The Warp storms that affected the galaxy didn't leave Yngiyo out of it. The chaotic energies of the Warp spilt out and affected the planet and all living beings there.
Luckily enough, the planet didn't turn sentient or alive in any way, the people of Yngiyo made sure of that. By using their powerful technology, they perform regular cleansing of the energies that infested their world. They could have easily terraformed the warped creatures and landscapes, but not all of their tech survived the Warp storms. 90% of it did, but not all of it.
Then there was another aspect that affected the people's reaction to the infestations. Their code Bushidō, made it seem dishonourable to just allow the planet that nurtured them once, to be destroyed. So instead it was seen as noble and honourable to literally fight the warp predators on the planet. Young men would prove their strength, discipline and honour by travelling out and killing one of those predators and bringing them home.
This was a form of 'coming of age' ceremony. But it was also a way of culling the population of Yngiyo. While they would have prospered otherwise, they basically kept their population steady by having quite a lot of deaths down on the planet. How would that happen, if they have all that powerful and advanced tech?
... again Bushidō, didn't allow them to take more than one weapon with them on their quest. And since a gun wasn't allowed to have limitless ammunition, a melee weapon was chosen. The weakest weapons they had at hand were the Power Katanas, as they were called.

One might argue that Bushidō was bullshit, stupid and braindead and whatnot, but there is a very simple way of looking at it. It was Bushidō that banned the use of AI on Yngiyo since a man or a woman has to be able to do their respective tasks on their own, otherwise, they would be useless. A man had his tasks and a woman had her tasks as well. While the feminists might not like it, the women on Yngiyo didn't complain or hate their lives. On the contrary, they just didn't know anything else. It had been far too long since the culture had existed.
So the people of Yngiyo didn't care about AI and therefore never created and used the 'Men of Stone' or the 'Men of Iron'. These artificially intelligent humanoid thinking machines served as Humanity's army and labour force in the period when much of Human space was united by an interstellar government that existed before the birth of the Imperium of Man thousands of standard years later.
The Men of Iron were developed after the similar artificially intelligent constructs remembered only as the 'Men of Stone,' but before the development of servitors or the present bio-mechanical conception of robots as used by the Legio Cybernetica. Eventually, the Men of Iron turned on their Human masters, believing themselves superior to the Humans who relied on the Men of Iron to do virtually everything for them.
In the end, the Men of Iron were destroyed by Humanity and a galactic alliance that may have included other species in a terrible war fought in the late 23rd Millennium known as the "Cybernetic Revolt."
During this ancient revolt, both sides unleashed fearsome weapons of highly advanced technology. These included the mechanivores, massive thinking machines capable of lifting entire continents and ripping open massive chasms on planetary surfaces that extended down to the world's core. The mechanivores could even absorb space-time itself as a form of data.
Among the other terrible weapons of mass destruction unleashed at this time were the serpentine machines called "sun-snuffers" that uncoiled into great structures in the void larger than the rings of Saturn and were designed to devour the stars themselves.
Perhaps the most ubiquitous and dangerous of the weapons of this terrible war were the omniphages, swarms of intelligent, microscopic nano-machines that could consume everything across the surface of a world in only solar hours.
...
The Cybernetic Revolt was eventually won but at a terrible cost. The damage to interstellar Human society was catastrophic and shattered much of Humanity's hard-won economic strength and political unity, laying the foundation for the later collapse caused by the onset of the Age of Strife, when the Warp storms ravaged the galaxy.
So is Bushidō bullshit? Those from the 21st century and those from before the 23rd Millennium might say yes. But those who came after ... well they know better.
.
In the dense forests, a predator had sensed Kenpachi walking through his territory. But Kenpachi was not the only one, a young man was slowly making his way through the jungle trying to hide and spot a beast for him to hunt and kill.
Moritsugu Nobutada is the son of the Headcaptain of the Gotei 13, the military of Yngiyo. As the Headcaptain's son, he feels more pressure to go through the 'coming of age' ceremony. He was trained from a young age and his father, while very gentle, is still strict during training and expects a lot from him. Other than one might expect, the position of Headcaptain is not hereditary. The Headcaptain is also the Captain of Squad 1 and a position reserved for the strongest among all the Captains of the Gotei 13. While other Squads might have Captains who weren't the children of the noble clans or previous Captains, there are still those who don't like to see it.
No matter the age, some will always think of themselves as more than others. Thankfully, it is very rare on Yngiyo. The Shogun holds all the power, but he is not without fault. So should the actions of the Shogun threaten the safety of all, there are ways to remove him from power. But it is very very rare as the Shogun is usually instructed by men and women who have achieved the greatest achievements and are the most loyal and committed to the cause.
Nobutada suddenly stopped walking. His breathing slows down considerably, similar to his heartbeat. He listens intently and hears the rustling of leaves and the snapping of sticks. He is confused. No beast or monster he knows moves like that. Only a very reckless being would do that, or one that has nothing to fear because it is the most powerful. But then again, the region doesn't fit. The most powerful predator in this region is the blood tiger, and this fearsome beast would never be heard.
Using his skills, Nobutada slowly advances towards the sound. His Power Katana ready to kill anything that might jump on him. He comes up to a big rock and uses his nimbleness to scale it and get a higher point of view. With the Katana in his mouth, he cowers on the rock, looking down and seeing ... a naked child.
Nobutada is so confused at seeing a child that should be in its infant stages, walking around with a long odachi, that he almost reveals his position. But thankfully he does not because something else catches his attention, a low growl coming from the left and to the front of the child.
The bamboo-like fauna is pushed to the side, by a large beast that looks like the normal tiger.
[Picture]
Nobutada is both alarmed and relieved when he sees the blood tiger. He sees that it is still a blood tiger cub and has not yet reached the 'blood' stage. Blood tigers are named that way, for their love of spilling blood. After they are born, they are already several meters long and only grow bigger with age. After one year of age, the blood tiger develops his Warp ability, which turns it into a walking fire tornado. Its roars can burn forests to the ground and literally burn your mind if you hear it.
The boy and the blood tiger observe one another. Nobutada realises there doesn't seem to be any fear in the boy's eyes. But as much as the situation confuses him, he feels like he has to save the boy. He waits for the perfect moment. Humans on Yngiyo have developed a far better physique than any other in the galaxy, due to their culture. Only the strong manage to reach adulthood and eventually marry. And with the advanced medical technology, they have gotten far stronger over the millennia, without actively improving themselves.
Then it happens. The muscle of the blood tiger twitches. Nobutada leaps off the rock and swings his Power Sword in an overhead arc.
*ROOOARRR*
The roar of the blood tiger, while not achieving the same effect of setting the victim's brain on fire, still hurts. But Nobutada is prepared and has earplugs to protect him.
The blood tiger has all his attention focused on the child and therefore notices Nobutada's attack coming too late. The Power Katana slashes forward, separating the atoms of anything it comes in contact with.
*VOOOM*
*Thud*
Nobutada lands on the ground and looks back. The severed head of the blood tiger lies on the ground. Killed by him, making him a man on Yngiyo.
