"Be careful, I'm coming!" Kakashi warned Kurenai as they stood opposite each other. Drawing his tanto from his back, he swiftly slashed towards her.
The speed of Kakashi's attack was controlled at a Chunin level, allowing Kurenai to follow his movements despite their quickness.
"Got it!" Kurenai responded, her gaze becoming serious. She had come to seek genuine training, not just to spend time with Kakashi. Improving her taijutsu was her primary goal.
As Kakashi's attack neared, Kurenai immediately used a genjutsu, making her form disappear. However, Kakashi quickly dispelled it, with Kurenai not having had the chance to evade.
Clang!
Unable to rely on her genjutsu, Kurenai blocked Kakashi's strike with her kunai. She attempted to counterattack with taijutsu, but Kakashi easily evaded her efforts, appearing behind her and pushing her away with a palm strike.
"Ah..." Kurenai gasped but quickly regained her focus. She wasn't discouraged from being hit; she knew Kakashi was stronger. Her goal was to improve gradually.
Swoosh!
Kurenai charged at Kakashi again, determined to continue.
The mock battle continued, and within half an hour, Kurenai had been hit multiple times by Kakashi. Thankfully, Kakashi always stopped short of causing real harm, allowing her to continue. As they sparred, he also provided guidance, helping her improve steadily.
After two hours, Kurenai was exhausted, drenched in sweat, and panting heavily. On the other hand, Kakashi's breathing remained steady. However, he was slightly disconcerted by how alluring Kurenai looked, her dark red outfit clinging to her sweat-soaked body, revealing her curves.
Kurenai, fully focused on the training, seemed unaware of how she looked.
"Take a break, Kurenai," Kakashi suggested, admiring her dedication. He respected her effort and determination.
"Oh... okay!" Kurenai agreed, surprised but relieved. She immediately collapsed to the ground, pushing herself hard to avoid disappointing Kakashi.
"Here, take this and rest. I'm going to train a bit myself," Kakashi said, handing her a water bottle before stepping away to train.
"He's so amazing... fighting for so long without even breaking a sweat," Kurenai muttered, her eyes filled with admiration. She had always admired Kakashi, but training with him only deepened her respect.
She then noticed her attire and blushed, quickly covering her chest with her hands, embarrassed that Kakashi might have seen her in such a state.
Phew!
Realising Kakashi wasn't watching her anymore, Kurenai breathed a sigh of relief and looked at him standing under a waterfall.
Kakashi, oblivious to Kurenai's thoughts, began forming hand signs.
"Lightning Style: Chidori!"
Sizzle!
Electricity crackled in his right hand, and a thousand birds chirping filled the air. Kurenai watched in awe, her eyes wide with admiration and disbelief at the powerful jutsu.
"What... what kind of jutsu is that?" she murmured, mesmerised.
Kakashi held the Chidori, not attacking the waterfall but compressing the lightning, controlling it to condense further. The chirping sound echoed continuously as the Chidori in his hand fluctuated in size.
"How can I make the waterfall flow backward?" Kakashi pondered aloud, compressing the Chidori. This question had troubled him for a long time, and he still hadn't found the answer.
Kakashi aimed it at the waterfall when he could no longer control the Chidori. The lightning struck the water, causing a brief disruption but failing to reverse the flow.
Despite the failure, Kakashi didn't give up. He stood there, contemplating what went wrong. When his chakra recovered, he attempted again.
After an hour, Kakashi had tried the Chidori three more times, each failing.
"Kakashi, are you practicing that jutsu?" Kurenai asked, approaching him quietly.
"No, I'm trying to enhance its power, to evolve it further," Kakashi replied, facing her. He trusted Kurenai and saw no reason to hide his intentions.
"Oh..." Kurenai gasped, surprised and impressed by Kakashi's dedication to developing a stronger jutsu.
Kakashi's perseverance and drive to improve left Kurenai in awe, further solidifying her admiration for him.
