Kakashi stared at the meteorite in his hand, which emitted a faint purple glow. "So, this is the star from Hoshigakure," he murmured.
This meteorite, known as the star, was acquired by Kakashi during his last mission, passing through Hoshigakure. He had spent half a month obtaining it through various means and faced questioning from Danzo upon his return. However, Kakashi didn't care about Danzo's interrogation; he had plans.
While passing through Hoshigakure, Kakashi felt that this star could benefit him, so he decided to steal it.
"I felt this star could help me, but how should I use it?" Kakashi pondered. Acquiring the star was meant to enhance his power, but he wasn't sure how to harness its potential.
"According to the original story, this star could be used to refine chakra, turning it into a solid purple form. But it's wasteful and possibly less powerful than my Chidori."
"I should inspect it with my Sharingan first," Kakashi decided.
Activating his Sharingan, Kakashi observed the star's structure and the radiation it emitted. The method of training with the star involved using its radiation, but it also contained harmful radiation that could damage the body.
Under the gaze of his Sharingan, the otherwise invisible radiation lines became clear. The star was surrounded by purple rays, with a few black lines mixed in.
"The purple radiation likely helps in chakra refinement, while the black radiation is harmful," Kakashi concluded. "I should test chakra refinement under this radiation."
Placing the star before him, Kakashi began refining his chakra while watching the process with his Sharingan. Soon, he noticed his chakra changing due to the star's radiation, which alarmed him. He immediately stopped, not wanting his chakra to transform like the Hoshigakure shinobi.
"Wait, if this radiation can alter chakra properties, can it change the nature of my Chidori?" Kakashi wondered, realizing this might be the purpose he had in mind when he first learned about the star.
Excited by the prospect, Kakashi performed Chidori in front of the star. His hand was soon engulfed in the familiar lightning, but he observed it closely with his Sharingan.
Within moments, the Chidori's blue lightning started turning purple, making it look more eerie. But what truly shocked Kakashi was how the lightning nature transformation became easier to control. Attempting to form a circular shape, something he had struggled with, now felt effortless.
With a sharp sound, the lightning was molded into a circular shape, and Kakashi's eyes gleamed joyfully. Without hesitation, he smashed the Chidori into the ground.
The floor exploded, and Kakashi watched as the lightning spread rapidly outward, covering a two-meter radius before dissipating. The ground was charred black, and a four-meter-wide crater remained.
"Finally, success!" Kakashi leaped back and laughed. He had finally developed Raikiri, which seemed even stronger due to the star's radiation.
But he wasn't done yet. He put the star away and attempted Raikiri again without its influence.
"Lightning Release: Raikiri!"
The newly developed Raikiri formed quickly, but without the star, it lacked the purple lightning. Though it maintained its circular shape and destructive power, it didn't have the additional spreading effect.
"Should I always carry this star with me? That would attract unwanted attention," Kakashi mused. He couldn't abandon the star now that he had discovered its potential.
"Maybe I could have it forged into a weapon," Kakashi thought. His eyes lit up, and he quickly left to find an artisan. With the Nine-Tails attack approaching, Kakashi needed every advantage he could get.
Finding the village's craftsman, Kakashi handed over the star with specific instructions to forge it into a katana. Unaware of the star's true nature, the craftsman agreed and told Kakashi to return the next day.
As Kakashi exited the shop, he noticed a familiar figure. "Give me ten sets of kunai and a set of shuriken," the voice said.
"Aren't you... Anko?" Kakashi asked, recognizing her.
"Yeah, and you're Kakashi, right?" Anko responded, equally surprised.
"Long time no see, Anko. Congratulations on becoming a Chunin," Kakashi said with a smile.
