After three days of drinking Chinese medicine, Shen Li's high fever finally subsided.
Being sick had taken a toll on her, and Shen Li felt as if her body had been drained, lacking the strength to even move, let alone take a normal walk.
"I really can't eat anymore," Shen Li said, pushing her porridge bowl aside, her head hung low, almost afraid to look up at Huo Siyu.
Huo Siyu looked at the more than half-full bowl of porridge and asked, "Still no appetite?"
"No, I just don't feel like eating," Shen Li said, her voice tinged with bitterness.
She didn't want to move, she didn't want to eat; it was as if she had grown world-weary, uninterested in everything.
Huo Siyu gazed at Shen Li's frail face, his voice unconsciously softened as he said, "Then just leave it, eat when you feel like it."
"Okay," Shen Li breathed a sigh of relief.
Huo Siyu also put down his chopsticks and stood up, extending his hand to Shen Li, "Let me take you for a walk."
