Ughhhh...
The eyes opened, gazing into the boundless darkness.
There was nothing here... Utterly empty.
The boy stood up, looked around, and continued walking.
His mind held no memories, and he didn't know why he was here.
All he knew was that his name was Red.
Suddenly, he stopped, staring at a statue posed in an odd stance.
"...?"
He touched it, only to see the statue tremble violently.
A crack appeared, and in an instant, the stone shell shattered, revealing a girl.
The heck? Dr. Stone?
"Finally..."
The girl laughed, laughing maniacally.
"FINALLY!!!!!"
The pressure emanating from her nearly blew Red's cap off his head.
"Hehe... Finally!"
"Finally!"
"Final- ah!" A slap landed squarely on her cheek, sending her sprawling to the ground.
Yeah, Red had slapped her.
"Chill out, man, I'm just excited because I finally graduated!"
Graduated?
"Yeah, I dropped this fanfic for months, thanks... The last time I updated was March 2nd, and today is... June 27th, it's nighttime in Vietnam when this chapter is posted... Wow, I only dropped it for a day!"
Another slap landed on her mouth, knocking her down again.
"Alright, calm down, Edgy boi! I was just kidding! Don't be so intense!"
Red lowered his hand, crossing his arms and looking at her.
"Well, sorry, I abandoned this fanfic for nearly three months... Or was it four? I'm too dumb to know anymore... Anyway, I ditched this fanfic to focus on my second-semester finals and graduation exams."
"It's been a while. I was studying every night and got so fed up that I didn't want to continue with this fanfic's messy plot, so I just tossed it aside, teehee!"
"You should know that studying in Vietnam is as stressful as in China, especially for someone as dumb as me—it's a total headache."
"Though I was still updating my new fic without anyone knowing... Hehe."
Red raised an eyebrow, making her throw her hands up.
"Calm down! I know you have tons of fans, don't call them to gang up on me! I'm not into gangbangs!" The girl clutched her head, not wanting another slap.
Red sighed at her words.
"Oh! If you're curious about the new fic, it's called *Fgo: Nurarihyon*! Read it, read it, read it, read it, read it, read it, read it, read it, read it!"
Just as Red was about to slap her again, she held up a piece of paper.
"Here's my future plan for this fic! Though, to be honest, my head's completely empty, so I'll just say what I came up with just now!" (No joke, when I wrote this, I really had nothing in mind.)
"Alright, about Red's Pokémon—our super cool protagonist and the final boss of *Gold and Silver*—he's gotta have Charizard and Pikachu, obviously. The rest will be Snorlax, Lapras, and Espeon."
"If you're wondering why no Blastoise or Venusaur? I'm too lazy to spoil, so just wait."
"Huh? This counts as a spoiler? Pfft, who cares, it's canon anyway!"
"Next, the Pokémon he'll have in the Kanto region: Gyarados (won't appear much since the spotlight's on Misty's Gyarados), Gengar, Tauros, and Hitmonlee (it's free in the game, why not take it?). That's it."
Red jotted it down in his notebook, deciding to train these future Pokémon well.
"As for legendary Pokémon... Well, I don't think Red needs legendaries much. I have plans for it, but it has to fit the storyline, and I don't want Red to be too overpowered..."
"Well, unless he's fighting Tobias—maybe Red will call out a legendary then, but that's for the future, so we'll figure it out later."
"Huh? What? I spoiled something? Whatever, what are you guys gonna do, slap me?"
"Alright, so we've listed all the Pokémon Red will have in the future. The question is just when he'll get them."
"Next up... the plot."
She scratched her head and looked at you.
"Right now, we're in the Underground arc, which is also the arc I'm struggling with."
"Part of it is... there are way too many characters here, and the storyline I came up with is pretty long. Readers probably won't have the patience to read it because, honestly, I feel like none of you even like the player characters."
"I get it. I built the players to match the title, making them unlikeable on purpose, and I develope them more than Red."
"Is that my fault? Maybe. Since they're OCs, you guys call me out for making OCs stronger than canon characters, and I just have to accept it."
"So, I'm rushing to wrap up this arc, which is making me a bit... burnt out."
"You know, I write for fun. Even the *Before You Read This Fanfic* chapter is basically a joke because I made a ton of promises and then threw them all in the trash. I write based on inspiration, so if I'm bored, I'm ready to ditch it."
"Ironically, my boredom gets pushed aside because I love reading the comments on this fic."
"Yup, the thing that keeps me writing is your comments. Every time I read them, I laugh. Views? I don't care much about those—you can tell since I even dropped this thing."
"So, I forced myself to keep writing, which made me burn out faster than I expected."
"That's why I'd be more inspired if you left some funny comments. Who knows, maybe the next chapters will be better? I don't know."
"Honestly, I'm shocked I've written 100 chapters already... It's unbelievable, and it even has 600k views, which is insane."
"I don't think this fanfic is better than others. I write for entertainment, not like I'm ever serious about it. So, it's filled with random jokes I throw in just to see what you guys comment about..."
"Alright, enough rambling. I sincerely thank you all for reading this fanfic and supporting me, patiently waiting for new chapters even when I'm off on vacation or whatever."
Thank you, and remember one thing:
I'm going to bed now ( /^ω^)/♪♪
