The moment Li Susu smiled. I knew she started her game. If Shi Yuyi believes that they fooled the empress, they're all wrong. "I feel weak and uho!"
She coughs, and blood spills on the side of her face. My wife grabs the towel on the table next to her bed.
"Our lady... don't scare us! Go and summon the royal physician again!" her servant exclaimed.
The other one leaves. I notice my wife slightly touch Shi Yuyi's neck while acting like she's wiping the blood. I know she's checking her pulse.
"You should rest, Noble Consort Shi. Don't overexert yourself. You didn't know what the poison can do for you. It's... frightening, isn't it?" she commented, smirking.
I notice how Lady Shi reacts. My wife stands up. "I will send someone to take care of you, Noble Consort Shi. Don't worry. You won't die. YET."
The tone that Li Susu uses brings chills to my body. Her silent threat was enough to make the room cold. She looks at me.
