"You are making a mistake! I'm not the one who poisoned Mr Grayson!" Hannah yelled as the maids tied her arms behind her to the chair sitting at the middle of the basement.
A maid sneered, "You were caught red handed and you still deny it?" She raised her hand and cracked it down on Hannah's face.
Her cohort grinned, "Serves you right, Mrs Grayson has been nothing but kind to you, but here you are trying to murder her husband."
Hannah rolled her tongue around her mouth, the pain from getting hit spread across her jaw.
"Get Mrs Grayson, bring her here and I'll explain everything-"
"I'm afraid that won't be happening, Hannah." Gilbert announced, cutting her off. At his arrival, the maids stood next to each other and lowered their heads.
"Sir, we've done as you instructed, but this woman won't admit to harming master Grayson. What do we do?" One of the maids with a taller frame and blonde hair asked. She was the one who had slapped Hannah, and the assistant head of staff.
