Ethan didn't know which he wanted to do first, land a punch on the old man or smash his head against his door. He hated the way he spoke to him, but considering what Serena had told him, he knew better than to attack him for it.
"Why did you suddenly get so silent? Do you need me to rephrase so you'll understand better?" Julian asked.
"I understood you the first time." Ethan snarled at him.
"Oh? That's refreshing to hear, I thought this old man had better hearing than you." He sent him a flippant smile, although his eyes held no such humor.
Ethan's eyes darted to the pen, and then to the exposed side of Julian's neck, and then back to the pen again. He clenched his right hand so tightly, veins started popping out.
"What exactly are you here about? Why are you concerned about a nobody like Brooke?" Ethan asked in a forceful tone.
