STARRY Entertainment Agency—a newly established personal entertainment company.
It currently has seventeen employees. Aside from the president and four signed artists, the rest are mainly support staff.
The agency's revenue-generating activities are primarily entertainment-based, including but not limited to: video content creation and sales, planning and production, music distribution, copyright management, and paid downloads.
Future development plans definitely won't stop there.
Organizing concerts and various live events for its artists is also part of the roadmap, aiming to establish a full-fledged operation step by step.
In short, while the agency is still in its early stages and quite young, if it continues moving forward steadily, its future looks very promising.
Arriving at the agency he personally founded early in the morning, being addressed as "boss" by both familiar and unfamiliar employees alike, Chisato felt a strange sense of unreality.
Mainly because since the agency was established, he had only visited a few times, so he still wasn't used to it.
After exchanging friendly greetings with his staff, he made his way to his president's office.
Yes, he had his own private office—though truth be told, he'd barely used it since renting the space.
Back when he and Kudou Miyoko had scouted locations together, his own stance was simple—he didn't want anything too complicated, and whether he even needed a private office was up for debate.
When he had gone out with Miss Kudou Miyoko to look for an office location, Chisato's thoughts were quite simple—he didn't want to make things too complicated.
As for having a private office of his own, he didn't really care much either way.
But when Miss Kudou learned of his thinking, she completely rejected it.
Her stance was that, as the company president, he represented the face of the entire company.
Some things could be simplified, but anything concerning the president himself must not be handled sloppily or carelessly.
After all, she had followed his mother-in-law and worked in the field for many years, so in the end, Chisato listened to her and handed over full responsibility.
Opening the door and stepping into the president's office, everything was neat and orderly. A custom executive desk and leather sofa were the first things to catch the eye.
There was a small potted plant on the desk, next to an enclosed ornamental fish tank. Both the desktop and the floor were spotless—clearly someone came regularly to clean thoroughly.
Chisato sat down on the sofa. On the coffee table in front of him lay two folders.
He picked them up to review.
One contained the daily schedule and arrangements related to Kesshoku Band, and the other was a collection of proposals from various parties seeking collaboration.
Though Chisato's recent daily life appeared calm and uneventful, Kesshoku Band's reputation had been steadily rising, and a considerable number of industry insiders had started to take notice.
That was certainly a good thing.
After glancing over the documents briefly, Chisato lost interest and moved to sit at the desk.
The computer was turned on, and the desktop was still in the default, newly-activated state. The browser too—no browsing history whatsoever.
Chisato clearly remembered that when he asked Seika to act as the band's manager, he had told her she could use his office freely.
But from the looks of it, she hadn't followed his instructions at all.
Good grief...
Chisato chuckled. Since the members of Kesshoku Band hadn't arrived yet and there was nothing urgent to do, he simply opened a video website and started browsing videos to pass the time.
During that period, a staff member respectfully knocked and brought in tea. He also found some dried fruit snacks and jerky in his desk drawer.
He couldn't quite remember when he had put those there, but since they weren't expired, they were perfect for a light snack now.
"…Alright, you bunch. I've already been especially generous letting you sleep in so late today. Stop pouting like that.
Since you've signed the contract, it means you've formally said goodbye to your lazy old lifestyle.
If you're determined to make music your career, then pull yourselves together and keep improving.
Everything may have gone smoothly so far, but if your skills aren't solid, you'll suffer for it sooner or later."
A familiar voice echoed faintly from outside the president's office, accompanied now and then by a few pitiful sighs.
Chisato wiped his fingers with a tissue.
Just as he pressed the spacebar to pause the video, the door to the president's office swung open.
Leading the group, Seika paused in surprise when she saw him.
Chisato was also taken aback.
Back when they were at STARRY Hall, Seika always had a laid-back vibe—dressed fashionably, baring her shoulders and visible bra straps, exuding a casual and carefree air.
But now, she wore a fitted blazer and pencil skirt, paired with sheer tights and high heels. The folder tucked under her arm completed the look of a polished urban career woman.
It was… interesting.
"Long time no see, President."
Seika didn't remain surprised for long and greeted him proactively.
"Looking completely refreshed, Manager."
Chisato responded with a smile, habitually using the familiar title.
Seika looked like she had more to say, but just then, she was pushed forward several steps by the four girls behind her.
"Hey, you guys! Attempted murder?!"
She barely managed to stabilize herself and avoid twisting her ankle, grumbling angrily.
But the four members of Kesshoku Band who had rushed to Chisato's side completely ignored her outburst.
"Chisato!"
"Mr. President!"
"Big Sis is a demon!"
"Save us, please! Waaaah—!"
"—Wait, what are you even saying?! Don't get so close… Don't climb on my back, Yamada, are you a kid?!"
Surrounded all at once by four beautiful girls—tugging at his arms and clinging to his waist—Chisato would be lying if he said he wasn't at all flustered.
"Let go, let go! I've told you before—not to behave like this in public. Do you want to get flamed online?!"
Seika quickly shut the door and, with practiced ease, pulled each of the four girls away from Chisato.
Compared to before, she was now much more efficient in handling things.
