Chapter 39 - Fire, Fists, and Freckles

For once… the universe wasn't falling apart.

The sky wasn't tearing open. Titans weren't awakening.

And no divine echoes screamed across the stars.

It was peace—not earned by treaties or cosmic bargains, but by the fist, the flame, and sacrifice.

And for the first time since I was reborn into this life, I allowed myself to enjoy it.

### **Training Grounds – Neo-Fusion Temple**

The Neo-Fusion Temple floated over the Hollow Earth's new heart, a crystalline construct formed of obsidian roots, dreamstone platforms, and gravity-defying waterfalls that flowed upward into silver clouds.

Ki currents danced through the air, shaping runes and trails of living energy. It was part dojo, part celestial garden—a sacred place for warriors and gods to push their limits.

Goku stretched lazily beneath a cherry blossom tree that bloomed with stardust. His eyes sparkled with mischief, that same Saiyan hunger for battle.

> "So, you remade an entire universe… but you didn't think to build a ring?"

I smirked. "I don't need a ring to beat you, Kakarot."

He grinned. "You've got confidence now. I like that."

### **Round One – Clash of Flame and Flow**

We stood opposite one another, silence crackling between us like the pause before a supernova.

Goku's aura ignited—**Ultra Instinct**, perfected and elegant. His steps became ripples in the air.

I let the **Ashen Flame** bloom from within, forming draconic sigils along my arms and across my back, my wings folding tight.

No countdown. No ceremony. Just instinct.

I moved.

Goku blinked behind me—his blow already aimed for my ribs. I countered with a twist, my tail lashing out with heat-shattering force.

Sky turned white.

Ground inverted.

Mountains split in the distance.

> "You're faster," Goku admitted mid-air, dodging a spear of flame.

> "Stronger too. But are you still *you*?"

That caught me off guard.

I hesitated.

He landed a clean hit to my jaw.

I skidded across the temple's edge and laughed. "You hit like a god."

> "You *are* one."

### **Round Two – The Green Meteor**

From the sidelines, **Izuku Midoriya** trembled—not with fear, but with anticipation. His eyes glowed with layered Quirks, his heart pounding like a war drum.

"I'm next," he said, stepping forward.

> "Careful," Goku warned with a grin. "He's got divine-grade durability now."

> "I know," Deku said, activating his Quirks one by one, layering their effects like code.

> "But so do I."

The moment the match started, Deku vanished—propelled by **Gear Shift**, augmented by **Fa-Jin**, his body crackling with power.

He didn't aim for power shots. He danced—dodging Goku's playful swings, redirecting my heat with kinetic redirection, lashing out with Blackwhip in clever arcs.

He was *thinking*. Always thinking.

When he unleashed **Full Cowl 100%**, his strikes blurred space.

> "DETROIT SMASH—FULL IMPACT!"

I deflected it, but barely. His hand trembled—fractured bones healing rapidly.

I reached for him to check the damage, but he grinned.

> "Again?"

### **Three Warriors – One Flame**

We cycled through countless rounds.

Goku and I sparred while Deku analyzed. Then Goku sat while Deku and I fought—his analytical combat style adapting to my flames, absorbing how I bent gravity or formed sigils mid-air.

> "He's a quick study," Goku said during one break, mouth full of rice balls.

> "Kinda reminds me of you… before all the wings and apocalyptic fire."

> "Except he still believes in heroes," I muttered.

> "So do you," Goku said. "You just became one."

### **Campfire Beneath the Stars**

That evening, we gathered by a flame I conjured—made of celestial ash and radiant ice.

It flickered silently, showing visions in the sparks: battles, dreams, futures not yet written.

Lunadora joined us, her human form draped in a soft cloak, golden horns faintly visible. She handed Deku a pouch of Titanroot stew—his face lit up with joy.

> "You're spoiling him," I teased.

> "He's kind," she said, "and brave. The multiverse needs more like him."

Goku chuckled. "Let's not give him too much praise—he might start punching through dimensions like you two."

> "Give me a year," Deku mumbled, cheeks stuffed with stew.

We laughed.

Then came the quiet. The real kind. The kind that doesn't demand words.

> "Do you miss who you were?" Deku asked suddenly.

Goku stared into the fire. "Sometimes. But change… that's how we grow."

I looked up at the stars.

"I miss my mother," I said softly. "But I don't miss being lesser. Power gave me purpose. But these moments… they give me balance."

### **Narration – Belenus**

I was once fire without form. Rage given shape.

Now I sit beside friends. Brothers. And one green-haired hero who might just eclipse us all one day.

Power means little without purpose.

And legacy means nothing without love.

This—this was my reason to fight.

### **Elsewhere – Edge of the Rift**

Inside a chamber of infinite mirrors, a figure cloaked in entropy turned from the swirling image of our campfire.

> "They forge unity," it hissed.

> "Then let them—let them believe peace is possible."

Another voice echoed—metallic and bitter.

> "When they fall, their hope will collapse with them."

A dozen figures stirred from the shadows—fragments of collapsed realities, echoes of Titans long forgotten.

> "Prepare the Leviathan Seed. Begin the Culling."

The storm was coming.
