Both Luca and Devitt sensed the tremendous shockwave at the same time.
They both quickly deduced that it had to be Nova's action.
Hidden among the vines, Devitt laughed loudly. "Your partner's pinned down! She had no choice but to use the nuclear device to buy herself some time. You know as well as I do that the nuclear device can only briefly delay the monsters. In the long run, the energy released by the device will simply be absorbed by the monsters."
Devitt finally sighed in relief.
It must have been Zenobia's intervention that placed Nova in this predicament. Once Zenobia defeated Luca's allies in the real world, it wouldn't be long before Devitt could escape.
Luca didn't respond to Devitt's taunting. He was merely focused on clearing the vines.
