Jack's stomach dropped as he spotted the gun pointed directly at Lila. "Serena! You fucking bitch! Let go of her!"
"Looks like you're in a bit of trouble," Serena taunted, enjoying the power she had in this moment. "Thought you could just run away, didn't you?"
"Let her go, Serena!" Jack yelled, trying to steady his breathing. He couldn't let Lila get hurt; he had to think of a way to save her.
Suddenly, Jack felt a sharp pain in his waist. He turned around in confusion and couldn't believe what was happening. Marcus had stabbed him with a knife. He grabbed his shoulder, feeling the blood seeping through his fingers.
"Jack! No!" Lila shouted, her voice filled with panic.
