Chapter 264 - Vegeta

Dave turned toward the voice — it was deep, stern, and brimming with authority.

Standing a short distance away was a man with a tall, muscular build and a powerful presence. His sharp widow's peak framed a scowling face, eyes narrow with suspicion and pride. His iconic Saiyan armor — dark blue with white and gold plating — hugged his frame, and his gloved fists were clenched at his sides. The black spandex underlayer shifted as he moved ever so slightly forward, boots crunching the dirt beneath.

His gravity-defying black hair shot upward, wild and untamed, marking him unmistakably.

"Prince Vegeta," Dave muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

Vegeta's eyes narrowed further. "You're not from around here. That energy — it's Saiyan, but… something else." His tone was sharp, but not immediately hostile — more intrigued than threatened.

Dave smirked, letting a small portion of his aura flicker. "Let's just say… I'm a different kind of Saiyan."

Vegeta took a step closer, the air tensing. "You'd better explain fast — before I decide to beat the answers out of you."

"Well, if an explanation is all you need…" Dave said with a smirk. "Let me tell you a story."

Vegeta frowned, clearly annoyed. "I'm not in the mood for fairy tales. Just speak — who are you?"

Dave chuckled lightly. "Don't worry, you'll like this one."

"You see, when we were born, our powers were measured — yours, mine, and many others."

"As you know, the tradition of Planet Vegeta is that the strongest becomes king and bears the name Vegeta."

Dave's expression darkened slightly. "And let me tell you what your father did when he found out that two Saiyans were born stronger than you. He exiled them — one to a lowly planet where they couldn't grow stronger. That one… was Broly."

Vegeta's eyes narrowed, silent.

Dave continued. "As for the other… I heard he was exiled here. So, I came to find him."

Vegeta stared at Dave, his gaze sharpening. "So you're saying… you're stronger than me?"

Dave tilted his head and gave a half-smile. "I am. Or at least, I was born one."

Vegeta stared hard at Dave, the weight of the Saiyan pride flaring behind his eyes. His fists clenched at his sides, and without another word, a golden aura erupted around him. The ground trembled slightly under the force of his power-up.

"Stronger than me?" Vegeta growled as his hair shifted to a bright gold, his eyes flashing teal. "You must be delusional. You come to Earth claiming ancient Saiyan tales, and you don't even realize… the legend is real."

The golden energy crackled like electricity around him. "The Legendary Super Saiyan? That was just a myth — until I surpassed it. And you're looking at the prince who turned it into reality."

Dave simply stood there, his expression calm, almost amused. The wind blew against his wild hair and cloak, the pressure from Vegeta's power swirling around him — and yet, he didn't budge.

"I see," Dave said calmly, "So you believe the legend is just now being realized?"

Vegeta scoffed. "You fool, you've clearly never seen real power."

But Dave simply closed his eyes and exhaled.

In an instant, a wave of pure energy pulsed from his body, not chaotic like Vegeta's, but dense — like a dam just gave way. His muscles tensed, his aura exploded into view — and his hair shimmered gold. Then brighter. Then… greener.

Vegeta's expression shifted from confident to confused.

"You've also accessed the Super Saiyan form… but what is this green one?" Vegeta asked, narrowing his eyes.

Dave looked at him with a calm smirk. "What? Not feeling confident anymore?"

Vegeta didn't said anything as he smirked as his aura flared up even stronger. From golden, it shifted — deepening into the intense blue hue of Super Saiyan Blue, divine energy surging around him.

"Whatever that form of yours is," Vegeta growled, "it's just the third stage. Mine is the fifth — far beyond what you're showing. So you're still weaker than me."

Dave chuckled. "Why not find out?"

Before Vegeta could respond, Dave dashed forward with blinding speed. His fist shot out like a cannon, and Vegeta barely managed to bring up his arm to block. The impact created a shockwave that blew dust and debris away in a wide radius.

Though he blocked the punch, the sheer force sent Vegeta skidding backward across the ground, digging grooves into the earth.

Vegeta stared at him, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. Dave stood tall, his green aura swirling around him like a storm.

"Still think I am weaker than you?" Dave asked with a grin.

Vegeta gritted his teeth, his pride bruised. "Don't get cocky!" he snarled, rocketing forward with a roar, his aura flaring like a comet as he closed the distance in a blink. His fists rained down in a barrage of high-speed punches — each one fast enough to shatter mountains.

Dave's eyes narrowed. With calm precision, he weaved between the blows, blocking some, redirecting others, and absorbing a few with barely a flinch. His body moved with a natural grace — the result of two years of training under Whis in the Time Chamber.

With a sudden burst of speed, Dave twisted behind Vegeta and landed a thunderous elbow to his back, sending him crashing into the ground with a massive boom that shook the landscape.

Vegeta sprang back to his feet, his face smeared with dust and frustration. "Damn it…!" he growled, his aura intensifying once again.

"Come on, Vegeta. I know you can do better than that," Dave said, cracking his knuckles.

With a furious shout, Vegeta formed a massive energy sphere in both hands. "FINAL FLASH!" he roared, hurling the blinding beam of destruction straight at Dave.

The blast engulfed Dave in a tidal wave of energy, tearing up the terrain in its wake. For a moment, the dust cloud hung heavy in the air.

Then — from the center — a surge of green energy erupted. Dave stood unscathed, his aura now burning even brighter.

"My turn," he said calmly. With a flick of his hand, he unleashed a concentrated burst of emerald energy that crashed into Vegeta, sending him flying through several rock spires.

Vegeta coughed as he steadied himself midair, panting. His eyes locked onto Dave, now realizing…

This wasn't just another Saiyan.

This was something else.

"Who… the hell are you really?" Vegeta asked.

Dave hovered in the sky, his aura swirling like a tempest. "I'm Broly… and more." He clenched his fist. "And I'm not done yet."
