"Hiss~ So good!" Tang Yin couldn't help but let out a low moan.
"What?" Yu Xiaogang, sitting on the sofa, didn't quite catch it and didn't understand what Tang Yin meant.
Tang Yin explained, "Nothing, I just said that Dean Erlong is helping cool down my gun—definitely doing a great, very effective, and amazing job."
Yu Xiaogang chuckled. "Erlong is a fire-attribute soul master. You're lucky if she doesn't heat it up instead. Expecting her to cool it down? You'd better find someone else."
With that, he picked up a book and continued reading.
Their relationship was purely that of teacher and student, with little to talk about—mostly due to Yu Xiaogang's reserved nature. Unless he had something specific to say or was with someone close, he rarely spoke much.
Though Tang Yin was a genius, in Yu Xiaogang's eyes, he was just decent. To him, Tang San—with his twin martial souls—was the true prodigy. Tang Yin might level up quickly now, but soon enough, his disciple Tang San would surpass him.
Of course, Tang Yin didn't know what Yu Xiaogang was thinking.
Hearing his earlier remark, Tang Yin retorted, "Grandmaster, how would you know if you haven't tried? I think Dean Erlong is doing an excellent job cooling my gun—and making me very happy."
The moment he spoke, Liu Erlong—who was busy under the desk tending to his Gatling gun—shivered, afraid he'd say too much and expose her.
Yu Xiaogang, however, frowned in displeasure.
This was exactly what he disliked about Tang Yin—always contradicting him, never obedient.
Unlike his disciple Tang San, who followed his instructions without question and carried out his every request.
"If you think Erlong can help you, go ahead and try."
Yu Xiaogang didn't want to waste time arguing.
Dismissing Tang Yin with a casual remark, he buried himself back in his book, ignoring him.
He didn't even bother asking what gun Tang Yin was referring to.
Tang Yin didn't press further either. Instead, he glanced down at Liu Erlong, who was diligently servicing his Gatling gun.
Liu Erlong felt exhausted—her mouth, throat, and tongue were completely worn out.
But to properly cool Tang Yin's Gatling gun, she had no choice but to endure the fatigue and keep working.
Tang Yin's face was pure bliss.
Seeing how tired she was, he wondered—if he pulled her out from under the desk and sat her on his lap, would it be fine?
Right now, Yu Xiaogang was absorbed in his book and not looking his way. But if Liu Erlong climbed up, Yu Xiaogang would definitely notice in his peripheral vision—unless he turned his back.
That meant Tang Yin needed to provoke him into turning away.
With that in mind, Tang Yin reached down and caressed Liu Erlong's flushed face.
"Mmph…!" A muffled sound escaped her.
Yu Xiaogang, on the sofa, suddenly looked up.
"Did you hear something just now?" he asked, puzzled.
"A sound? Did you? I didn't notice anything. Maybe you misheard, Grandmaster—or maybe you're hallucinating?" Tang Yin replied bluntly.
The words rubbed Yu Xiaogang the wrong way.
"Oh, right, Grandmaster—I have a question. Could you help me out?"
Hearing this, Yu Xiaogang smirked inwardly. So he still needs me after all.
With a hint of pride, he nodded. "Go ahead."
Tang Yin smiled. "It's about your so-called 'Ten Core Competencies' theory. I was reading some books in the academy's library and found a lot of content that overlaps with yours. And when I visited a few branch libraries of the Spirit Hall in the city, I noticed many similarities too. Why is that? Didn't you come up with it yourself? How are there so many parallels? Did the Spirit Hall steal your work… or was it the Heaven Dou Royal Academy?"
Yu Xiaogang's face darkened.
He had no intention of answering.
How could he admit that most of it was knowledge he'd learned from the Spirit Hall, repackaged as his own?
That would be humiliating.
After brushing off Tang Yin with a vague response, he turned slightly away and pretended to read.
Tang Yin smirked. Pathetic. I call him 'Grandmaster,' and he actually buys into his own hype.
Ignoring Yu Xiaogang, he turned his attention back to Liu Erlong under the desk. He tapped her plump cheek and whispered:
"Turn around."
Liu Erlong thought he was dismissing her—until she saw his wicked grin.
A bad feeling crept over her.
Was he planning to take her from behind—right here, right now—while Yu Xiaogang sat just steps away?
The man she had once loved… waited twenty years for…
And now, she was about to be ravaged by Tang Yin in front of him.
She wanted to refuse—but one look at Tang Yin's threatening expression made her comply.
She turned around, back facing him.
Then, without warning, Tang Yin hooked his arms under hers and lifted her onto his lap.
Now seated, she had a direct view of Yu Xiaogang on the sofa.
Luckily, he was angled away, oblivious to her position.
But if he turned even slightly—he'd see everything.
For some reason, the thrill of possibly getting caught sent a jolt of excitement through her.
Damn it, Tang Yin's corrupting me!
Tang Yin wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Erlong… do you want it?" he whispered.
Instinct screamed at her to refuse—how could she do this while looking at Yu Xiaogang?
But then…
Her body betrayed her.
She nodded.
Tang Yin grinned. "Do it yourself."
Blushing furiously, Liu Erlong obeyed—guiding him inside.
