His eyes fixed intently on the stage, where a woman passionately kissed another man, his heart stung severely.
He looked at the alcohol on the table, poured himself another drink, much slower this time, took a gentle sip, and though his eyes were on the stage, his sharp gaze belied deep thought. Then he walked towards Ding Chen Tai, who had been drowning his sorrows in drink.
Ding Chen Tai had drunk quite a bit and his face was somewhat flushed. He looked at Mu Bai and teased, "Seeing your ex-wife kissing another man on stage, brother, what are you feeling right now?"
Mu Bai gave him a cold glare, raised his glass to clang it against Ding's, and then downed it in one gulp.
Ding Chen Tai, conscious of himself, refilled his own glass, glugged the liquor down, and then filled it up again.
Mu Bai watched Ding Chen Tai, seemingly eager to drown his own sorrows, struggled to ignore the waves of pain in his heart and asked, "What's the matter?"
