Buildings like Earth God Temples are commonly found in rural areas; they are almost nonexistent in cities.
And the majority of Earth God Temples are quite small, usually just a tiny altar built along the roadside, enclosed on three sides with a roof, capable of squeezing in no more than one or two people at most.
Yet, the one where Sun Yixie and Huang Donglai, among others, were currently taking refuge, was relatively large. It had enough space to accommodate all seven of them.
As for the location of this temple, in today's terms, it would be equivalent to the urban-rural fringe... in any case, it was the kind of place not even beggars would bother to come to because no beggar wanted to commute that far every day.
So how did they end up in such a place?
