Chapter 5 - Training Alone

15 days had passed.

A loud, terrifying roar shook the forest as six more creatures appeared, forming a circle around me. They knew I was stronger, but still they charged, eyes glowing with hunger. I let them come close. I took a deep breath and activated my magic, calling upon all seven elements at once—and wiped them out.

First, I formed a crackling fire whip around my forearm. It wrapped around the nearest Gorgog's arm and sliced through muscle instantly. Its screech died in its throat.

The second one met its end when I fired a bullet made of compressed air. It was so fast that it tore through the monster's skull, leaving nothing behind.

For the third, I guided water into a thin blade that cut its body in two. The sickening sound of bone against water lingered only a moment before I turned away. Its two halves collapsed on the forest floor with a dull thud.

One tried to leap at me, but I summoned jagged stone spikes from the earth. They impaled its legs, pinning it where it fell. Another crumbled under a bolt of lightning that arced from my fingertips. Its flesh smoked and blackened.

For the sixth, I used plant magic. Vines sprouted from the ground and wrapped around the monster's body, tightening until it was crushed and returned to the soil like fertilizer.

Finally, the seventh monster froze in place as I froze the surrounding air and oxygen molecules in its body, killing it without letting it even twitch. Its body turned stiff and cold before it could even blink. It died standing still.

Then came their boss. A giant Gorgog, holding a rock mace, roared and rushed at me. Its presence alone shook the trees. But I was faster. I used my iron sword and poured prana into it. The blade glowed bright. With one clean slash, I cut the boss down.

These creatures, Gorgogs, had attacked me in the forest before. Using Appraisal, I got their details:

Name: Gorgog

Rank: B

Description: A frog-like, two-legged monster with a thick, greenish, slimy body. It was known for its aggressive nature and strong mating instincts that made it try to dominate whatever it could.

Size: Around 7 to 8 feet

Abilities:

1. Lethal Leap – It could jump far and cause shockwaves when it landed.

2. Sticky Tongue – A long sticky tongue used to trap and pull in prey.

3. Frenzied Rage – When injured, it became faster and stronger, but also reckless.

4. Toxic Secretion – Poisonous liquid oozed from its body that slowly weakened enemies nearby.

The boss Gorgog was stronger and larger, with a slightly grey-green color. It was ranked A.

I uploaded all the monster bodies to the game shop. Their appearance had been so disgusting that I instantly washed my hands using water magic and walked back to the lake. Over these 15 days I faced monsters I barely understood. Dawn light filtered through the trees as I wiped sweat and dried blood from my palms. No pity, no regret. Survival here demanded strength, not mercy. But sometimes, I still felt that sting in my chest—the part of me that hadn't fully turned cold yet. The part that still remembered home.

Now, I was heading toward the lake. where I had built a small house using Plant and Rock magic. It had become my training place. After three days of focused effort, I had learned to control every type of magic except darkness. With so much magic power inside me, I could shape anything just by imagining it.

While I was training sometimes, my powers would go out of control because I wasn't careful with how much magic I used. Because of that, small blasts and lightning strikes would randomly occur, and sometimes the entire area would get turned upside down.

I also mastered support and healing magic. I tested it on monsters. Even resurrection worked, though I decided I wouldn't use that lightly. Bringing back the dead felt like crossing a line. But healing... that was beautiful. I could cure any illness, heal cuts, purification and even bring back lost limbs.

Next, I focused on prana energy. Unlike magic, prana felt opposite. It filled my body with strength, making every cell in my body stronger. The more I used it, the more my physical strength increased. Combining magic and prana was difficult at first, but I kept practicing until it became easier. Whenever I used a heavy amount of Prana or Magic Power, my body would glow as if I were wearing a cloak made of pure energy. But now, I have full control over how much magic I need to use and when to stop.

Once I had control over my energy, I turned to martial arts. I upgraded the basic martial arts book into an ultimate one. Now I knew 150 attack and defense techniques—and their counters too, making it a total of 300 fighting styles. I had memorized all of them. Every day, I practiced them while channeling prana energy.

I could use any weapon, but I enjoyed using a sword, spear, bow, and a mace. Swinging the mace sometimes made me feel like I was a monster myself. Since I didn't own a mace or bow, I created them using magic.

Using Rock magic, I summoned Adamantite—a rare and powerful metal. I forged a simple bow and some arrows from it. It took a huge amount of magic, but the result was worth it. The bow felt majestic in my hands, and the Adamantite string was so tough that pulling it would be impossible for a normal person. But for me, it was easy. When I released the string, the sound was like thunder.

Once, I enhanced an adamantite arrow a hundred times using support magic and charged it with prana and fire magic. When I fired it, the explosion was enormous—it destroyed a 3-kilometer area and made a large crater in the ground. The destruction shocked me so much that I promised never to use that kind of power again. Now, I mostly use simple wooden arrows with iron tips, adding some light magic or prana only when needed.

I could only create materials with Rock magic if I had seen them before. The rarer the material, the more magic it required. One day, I found a red-golden stone near the lake. At first, I thought it was just a gem. But when I used Appraisal, I discovered it was Adamantite—a rare metal that conducts magic well, but doesn't conduct heat. It was very heavy and strong, making it perfect for powerful weapons.

Learning that left me amazed. I tried summoning more using Rock magic. At first, nothing happened. But then, a huge wave of magic power burst from my body, and a chunk of Adamantite appeared before me.

During training, I discovered two very useful things:

I gained EXP even when practicing or meditating. Physical effort, martial arts—anything that pushed me—made me level up. Using Plant magic, I could grow any plant, no matter the climate. But if I stopped supplying magic, the plants not suited to the environment would wither and die in a day. As long as I kept the magic flowing, they thrived.

That changed everything. Now I could grow almost every ingredient I needed to cook. I could finally enjoy meals just like back home. It made me so happy—one big problem was solved.

To make flour, I built a rock mill, which I could easily turn using my strength. I made oil using a large stone pestle and mortar. Since I didn't know how to build modern machines, I used these simple ways. Salt was tricky at first, but then I used Rock magic to extract it from underground—and it worked. After all, salt is a type of mineral too. I could even use Water magic to create saltwater, like from the ocean. That also gave me endless salt.

One day, during training, I felt a sudden curiosity about the world around me. So, I used Appraisal on the land. At first, it only gave me info about the sand under my feet. But when I focused harder, it showed me full details of the planet:

Planet Name: Vasundhara

Era: Medieval with slight technological advancements.

Size: 10 times bigger than Earth

Geography: Huge forests, massive mountains, deserts, deep oceans

Inhabitants: Many different kinds of creatures—ordinary and magical

Special Places: Sky kingdoms, underwater civilizations, large waterways, enormous forests and mountains three to four times taller than Everest

I found out I was in the Jambu continent, which had four kingdoms. The scale of the world left me speechless. For a moment, I wished I could explore it with my family and friends. That thought made my chest ache. But the reality was that I had to continue this journey alone.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and slapped my cheeks gently. I couldn't afford to be sad. I had to keep moving forward.

I walked back to my little lake house. I'm no builder, but I had made a basic room, kitchen, and a bathroom with a tub. Sometimes I sleep under the open sky, and when it rains, I use support magic to create a clear shield around the house. Watching the rain fall while staying warm and dry—it was peaceful in a way that calmed the soul.

But even with all this comfort, I knew I couldn't stay here forever. Two problems kept bothering me.

First, I needed to find a way home.

Second, I couldn't make dairy. I missed milk, butter, and ghee. I needed milk for my tea. I liked black coffee, but black tea? No way. It felt incomplete without that creamy flavour. And without ghee, I couldn't make my favourite sweets.

So, I knew I had to leave the forest and step into the world outside. But before I did that, I needed to finish my training.

My strength and agility were now equal to when I wore the ultimate battle gear. But my energy, defense, and intelligence had gone far beyond that. My intelligence was now at 130. At 125, I had unlocked a skill called Fast Thinking. It helped me make decisions quicker and gave me more confidence.

I had full control over my body and strength now. But I still needed more practice in battle gear. I might have to use my Veerbhadra identity someday, and I didn't want to lose control or cause trouble while wearing it.

When I was about to remove my Ultimate Battle Gear from my shop inventory, the rain began to pour down. Since it was the middle of the day, I thought, "Let's make a snack. Nothing beats Pakoras and Tamarind Chutney in the rain." Luckily, I had all the ingredients in my storage, grown by plant magic.

For Pakoras, I needed potatoes, onions, green chilies, gram (besan) flour, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, water, and olive oil. For Tamarind Chutney, I needed seedless tamarind, jaggery, cumin seeds, red chili powder, salt, and water.

I headed to the kitchen to gather all the necessary cooking utensils, then stepped outside. I wanted to cook outdoors, under the rain. I had already cast a barrier so the rain wouldn't disturb me, and it would also prevent the smell from attracting any monsters—I didn't want to end up fighting while making my meal.

After setting up a fire outside, I began preparing the snack. First, I decided to make the Tamarind Chutney.

҉҉҉҉

Tamarind Chutney Recipe:

Soak tamarind in 1 cup of water for 30 minutes. Mash it to extract the pulp and strain it.

In a pan, mix tamarind pulp and jaggery. Cook on medium heat until the jaggery dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly.

Add roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Let the chutney cool.

҉҉҉҉

After preparing the chutney, I set it aside to cool and started working on the Pakoras.

҉҉҉҉

Pakora Recipe:

In a bowl, mix gram flour, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Gradually add water to make a thick, smooth batter.

Add the sliced onions, potatoes, and green chilies to the batter. Mix until the vegetables are well-coated.

Heat oil in a deep pan. Once hot, drop small spoonsful of the batter-coated vegetables into the oil.

Fry the pakoras until golden brown and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil using paper towels.

After making the pakoras and chutney, I quickly prepared a cup of black coffee for myself. Using plant magic, I created a simple but comfortable wooden chair and table. I placed the pakoras on a plate, poured the chutney into a small bowl, and sat down to enjoy the peaceful view of the rainy forest.

The sound of raindrops tapping on the leaves and the soft splashes on the lake created a gentle rhythm. It was calming, like nature's lullaby. The cool, damp air felt fresh on my skin, and the smell of the wet earth and trees brought a strange kind of comfort. It was as if the forest itself was quietly healing my tired heart. Everything around me felt calm and complete.

I picked up a pakora, dipped it into the chutney, and took a bite. It was warm, crispy, and full of flavor. Delicious. As I chewed, I couldn't stop myself from thinking—how perfect this moment would be if my family or friends were here. Or even if I had some games or books with me. But I knew wishing wouldn't change anything. This was out of my hands. All I could do was keep moving forward and focus on finding a way home.

I also missed my masala tea. It would've been the perfect match with the pakoras. I needed to search for milk once I left this forest. I also needed some clothes. Sure, I could clean myself and my outfit with purification magic, but wearing the same clothes every single day wasn't something I liked.

With my small break over, it was time to return to training. I took out the Ultimate Battle Suit from my shop inventory. Before putting it on, I used Appraisal to check it. A full description appeared before my eyes, showing all the details exactly as I had customized them, including the dramatic names I had chosen with care:

Divya Armor – Mrityunjay

• Divya Shield – Krishna

• Divya Sword – Shivansh

• Divya Spear – Rudransh

• The Divya Ring of Enlightenment

All the equipment still had the powerful abilities I had given them. Each one was soul-bound to me, which meant only I could use their powers. Even better, I could summon them anytime & anywhere I wanted, just by thinking about them. If I imagined holding the Shivansh Sword, it would instantly appear in my hand, no matter where it was.

The Divya Ring of Enlightenment was especially unique. It gave me a huge boost of 40 intelligence points and had powerful skills: Curse Nullification, Energy Nullification, and Skill Nullification. Not only could it cancel any curse or spell used on me, but I could also reflect it back to the attacker with a single thought. When I wore the ring, it became part of my body and completely disappeared from view. If I ever wanted to take it off, I could make it appear again just by wishing it.

Wow, this is amazing, I thought, as I looked at how smoothly it merged with me.

After confirming all the information about the battle suit, I finally put it on. Instantly, my stats reached their highest levels. My strength and agility increased a hundred times, and my intelligence jumped by 170 points. Along with this, I unlocked a temporary skill: Parallel Thinking. It allowed me to focus on more than one thing at a time, whether in battle or while working. With more practice, I would be able to use this skill even more effectively.

Wearing the suit filled me with both excitement and a little fear. This was more than just a set of armor. It was real power. The kind of power that could win wars or even change the fate of this world. But deep inside, one question stayed with me – would it be enough to help me get back home?

With that thought, I stood up. It was time to train again—with both magic and martial arts. I needed to make sure I had full control over this power.

Three Days Later:

I sat on a large rock, surrounded by two towering piles of Gorgog corpses. Among them were the bodies of two Gorgog bosses and three Sky Serpents. It had been a long morning.

Earlier today, just as I was about to make coffee, I heard strange sounds near my house. I hid my presence and went to investigate. What I found was unexpected, two Gorgog bosses fighting each other for control over their group. As I also felt presence of other monster nearby, I checked the map and saw that three Sky Serpents were also nearby, silently watching the battle, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Even though I could have easily killed the Gorgogs, I chose to wait. The fight was entertaining, something different to start the day. Instead, I focused on the Sky Serpents. Without making a sound, I used wind magic and launched an overpowered Wind Slash that cut cleanly through all three serpents. This technique works by shaping wind into a sharp, invisible blade, controlled at the level of gas atoms. I can change its shape however I want, and it leaves no trace of where it came from.

Once the Sky Serpents were dealt with, I turned my attention back to the Gorgog bosses. Their battle was brutal. They used huge rock maces and raw strength to beat each other down. Sometimes they covered themselves with strange body fluids, maybe to heal or protect. Their flying kicks were wild and powerful. I pulled out some snacks from my storage and watched, like I was sitting in front of a live-action movie. Just for fun, I cast some buff and healing magic on them. The fight became even more intense – a solid punch, a heavy uppercut, a painful kick to the stomach. It was exciting to watch.

Eventually, one of the Gorgog bosses took a direct blow to the head with a rock mace and collapsed. The fight ended sooner than I expected. I thought for a second about using resurrection magic to keep the fun going, but quickly dismissed it. That kind of power shouldn't be used for entertainment.

The winning Gorgog had just started to celebrate when I dropped my concealment spell. As I stepped out, all the Gorgogs froze in shock for a moment, then they all charged at me. But with one thought, I activated Light Element magic - Halo Guillotine, a spell I had learned from the "Grimoire of Aethernal Wisdom".

Focusing my energy, I silently invoked the formation sequence. Rings of glowing light appeared above each Gorgog's head, floating like halos—pure, silent, and cold.

The next moment, the halos dropped in unison, slicing clean through their thick necks with divine precision. There was no time to scream. No time to resist. They collapsed without a sound, reduced to lifeless husks as the light faded.

Now, while uploading the bodies to the game shop, I took a moment to reflect. I had finally reached a point where I had complete control over my powers. It was time to step outside this forest and see the world. While uploading the bodies Sky Serpents, I used Appraisal on one of them:

Name: Sky Serpent

Rank: A

Type: Flying Serpent

Element: Ice

Threat Level: High

Habitat: High mountains, cloud-covered skies, and frozen regions

Description: The Sky Serpent is a fast, flying predator with a long, sleek body. Its icy scales shimmer in the air, and it strikes with incredible speed. It has a venomous bite and can use powerful ice magic. These creatures are smart, quick, and dangerous. They attack anything that isn't one of their own. The one I fought today had been infected by Abyssal Energy, which made it even more aggressive. These serpents often hunt in groups and use tactics during battle.

This Sky Serpent was strong—more intelligent than most other Rank A monsters. But even with that, it didn't stand a chance against me. I might have let it live if it wasn't infected. This forest is full of monsters touched by Abyssal Energy. I've only seen a few animals like rabbits and lions that are still normal. I didn't hurt them. They can protect themselves, and they have their own place in this world. I did think about taming some of them, but it would be too much trouble to feed them, guard them, and move them from town to town. So I gave up on that idea.

Over the last three days, I leveled up ten more times. Now I'm at Level 40. I can fully control my strength and energy, even when I'm wearing the Ultimate Battle Suit. The skill Parallel Thinking has become more useful than I expected. I can now split my mind into two parts and handle multiple tasks at once. It makes me faster, sharper, and more aware. I can even think from different angles at the same time, which is a huge advantage in both battle and daily life. My mental resistance has also grown stronger.

After finishing the upload of the corpses, I walked back to my house and started packing. Most of the things I took were cooking tools. Once I was done, I marked the house's location on my map with a small home symbol. Maybe someday I'll return and build a better place here. If I do, I'll bring a new design and make something more permanent.

This place had become special to me. It held memories of quiet mornings, heavy battles, and personal growth. A part of me didn't want to leave. I looked around one last time.

But I knew the truth, finding a way back home was more important. And besides, I wanted to explore the vast, mysterious world waiting beyond these trees.
