Dubian Che sat by the window, his elbow resting on the table as he dozed off.
Xiaoquan Aonai walked over to him and patted his shoulder.
Dubian Che opened his eyes.
"Did you fall asleep?" Xiaoquan Aonai asked quietly.
"No, just resting my eyes," Dubian Che replied.
"Just check everything thoroughly again," Xiaoquan Aonai said before heading towards the first group.
As his gaze unintentionally followed the teacher's graceful silhouette for a couple of seconds, Dubian Che propped his face with his right hand and continued sleeping.
Outside the window, airplane contrails bisected the winter sky.
It was November 27, the day of the last exam of the monthly test.
The first study meeting was already four days ago.
The warning bell rang.
"Exam time is over, please put down your pens."
Dubian Che yawned, half-open eyes waiting for Xiaoquan Aonai to collect the test papers before the classroom buzzed again, making him feel a bit more alive.
