It took a while to explain everything to Vegeta and Bulma, but eventually Gloom managed to word it in a way that would properly sum up everything.
"So let me see if I got it." Bulma requested, "Sure." Gloom replied with a nod, "You two came here, to find the Dragon Balls." Bulma recounted, "So far so good." Gloom confirmed, "And you need them to have an edge over Remnant since it, as I've read from the notes you've given me, 'sucks massive balls'." Bulma finished.
Hearing that last part made Gloom facepalm while Sear had to hold back a chuckle, "Shimmer I swear I'll slap you..." Gloom muttered under her breath, "That's basially all." She told Bulma, "That sounds like the dumest excuse I've ever heard." Vegeta commented in confusion.
This actually made Sear start laughing since it was too funny for her, "I am well aware..." Gloom replied to Vegeta's remark, "Still, we need the Dragon Balls." She insisted, glancing at the paper with that had them sketched on, "...I can give you the Dragon Radar." Bulma informed, "But you'll have to find them on your own." She quickly added.
Gloom started thinking about it, "Lady Gloom, this might be the best deal we can get, we should take it." Sear advised, "When you put it like that..." Gloom considered, "Alright, but you need to explain how it works." She bartered, "I can do that." Bulma accepted, getting up to get the radar.
After a through explanation on how the radar worked, Gloom grabbed Seaf and took off flying following the signal, "Lady Gloom, do you have any idea what Lady Shimmer is planning to wish for?" The Cicin Mage asked curiously, "Beats me, as far as I know this actually has nothing to do with Remnant." Gloom responded, checking the radar occasionally.
"...Do you think we can trust Shimmer?" Sear asked all of a sudden, "Well that came out of nowhere." Gloom said in surprise, "I know, it's just that... Isn't it weird? She got introduced to the Remnant plan and immediately devised how to conquer it!" Sear pointed out.
That made Gloom second guess herself, "She is quick to think for sure... And maybe threw the knife a bit too quickly..." She contemplated, "But then again we haven't really seen what Remnant is like..." She added, still contemplating, until the radar gave off two signals close to each other, "There!" Sear exclaimed, pointing to a building on a mountain.
Gloom dived, landing in front of the building, where she saw it was a cozy little home, "The Dragon Balls are definetly in here." She cofirmed with a look at the radar, but before she could open the door, a loud crash followed by a scream came out.
In response, Gloom kicked the door in, letting her and Sear see that the place was in shambles, with a woman quivering at the sight of a... Goose? "This is not what I expected." Sear commented, before noticing the goose had something in it's beak, "Are those-" "Yep." Gloom immediately confirmed, watching the goose run away with the Dragon Balls.
"...We'll deal with that when we get there." Gloom decided as she approached the woman, "You good?" She asked, pulling her up to her feet, "Y-yeah, I was cooking when it burst through the window!" The woman explained, looking at the broken window.
Seeing the window, Sear used her vision, sorta repairing it with a sheet of crystal, "Oh! Thank you!" The woman said with a bow, "I'm Chichi by the way." She introduced herself, "Gloom, and Sear." Gloom introduced the both of them.
"Say... You were looking at the Dragon Balls it took right?" Chichi pointed out, "Yeah." Gloom responded immediately, "I think my son found one... But now you might be busy huh." She informed, looking at where the goose ran off to, "We are, and we better give chase." Gloom replied, picking up Sear and headed off.
Walking in the general direction, Gloom put Sear down, "S-so... H-how is the mead business going?" She asked nervously, "Still one of, if not, the best." Gloom replied, "Wait, you were a lot chattier earlier." She noticed quickly, "Being one on one is... awkward..." Sear excused herself, getting a hum out of Gloom.
The two stopped walking after a while, realizing they had no real way of finding the goose, "This is getting nowhere..." Gloom commented, "Why don't we use the radar again?" Sear suggested, "Good idea." Gloom responded, taking a look at the device, and saw that two signals were in a cave nearby.
Stepping in the cave it took a bit to reach the end, where a small lake was, along with a collection of stolen stuff, "This goose is absurd..." Gloom said in shock, "There they are!" Sear exclaimed, pointing at the two Dragon Balls, rushing to get them, and put them in a box made of crystal.
"First two got, we should look for Chichi's son if she said the truth." Gloom said outloud, "Let's go then." Sear said in agreement, following after Gloom.
