Lucas now stood face to face with Hercules. He wasn't sure what exactly had driven him to this point, but deep down, a small part of him wanted to believe that Hercules wasn't a bad person. Aside from the fact that Axton hadn't found a single piece of evidence incriminating Hercules, all the facts uncovered so far pointed to one name, his grandmother's ex-husband. That man apparently harbored an old grudge against Lucas's grandfather, and that very grudge had become the root of all the chaos that had befallen Lucas's family.
"What brings you here, Lucas?" Hercules asked calmly. There was no nervousness in his voice, only a guarded look as he studied Lucas's expression.
Lucas stared sharply at him. "Do you still remember Evelyn?"
"Of course," Hercules replied without hesitation, one brow arching slightly. "But why are you suddenly bringing up Evelyn? Don't tell me you're planning to divorce your wife just because you haven't moved on from her?"
