Chapter 344 - Chapter 344: The Difficulty of Going from Luxury to Frugality

"Is Namek not here?"

Following Tomatt into the Resistance's cave hideout, Yamiru scanned the crowd but found no trace of Namek.

Given Namek's mastery over ki, if he wished to conceal himself, even Yamiru would struggle to detect him. He had initially assumed Namek had accompanied Yamoshi to Planet Sadala and was simply suppressing his energy.

In his mind, Yamoshi replied, "The Empire is even crueler to alien races. It would've been too dangerous for Namek to come with me, so we parted ways on another planet. He has his own goal—to find the rest of his people..."

Yamiru nodded.

'Without Namek's healing abilities, reckless training methods are off the table...' But it wasn't a major issue.

In the original timeline, even without advanced healing pods or senzu beans, Vegeta had endured 300x gravity training and pushed himself to the threshold of becoming a Super Saiyan.

A Saiyan's natural regenerative abilities, given enough time, were formidable. At the very least, they far surpassed an Earthling's limits.

"Tomatt, Yamoshi—glad you made it back safely."

The Resistance members in the cave numbered around thirty. Yamiru quickly assessed them:

- Over half had energy levels far below Yamoshi's. By his old power level metrics, their combat strength ranged between 3,000 to 4,000—not elite, but still stronger than Gine when she was first revived.

- About ten had power levels exceeding 10,000, the benchmark for elite Saiyan warriors and high-tier fighters in the universe. Tomatt, who had patrolled with Yamoshi, fell into this category—roughly on par with Bardock post-revival.

- A select few averaged around 100,000. Yamoshi was among the strongest of this group, her power level slightly surpassing that mark.

If Namek's previously sensed energy reflected his true strength, he likely sat in the tens of thousands. But for warriors like him—or Annin—raw power levels didn't tell the full story.

Annin's strength, much like Great Demon King Satan's, was nebulous. The other four Demon Kings (plus the deceased Samuel) had measurable energy—ranging from a few thousand to low tens of thousands. But Satan's? Unfathomable.

Yamiru theorized Annin's ambiguity stemmed from her bond with the Furnace of Eight Divisions. As for Satan... his realm might simply surpass Yamiru's ability to gauge. Like how a god's ki is imperceptible to mortals.

'At my peak demonic transformation, my power level likely caps at 4,000–5,000.'

Yamiru mused. 'Just as Master Son Gohan and I theorized, once ki intensity crosses a certain threshold, power levels escalate exponentially. The rapid growth phase post-demonization—around the 400–500 range—aligns perfectly with our projections.*

For Earthlings, a power level of 100–200 was the pinnacle of a lifetime's effort. Exceptional individuals might push further, but breaching 400–500 marked a qualitative leap—ki would surge beyond bodily constraints, unlocking exponential growth.

The next ceiling, universal to most lifeforms (not just Earthlings), lay around 10,000–30,000. This matched Krillin's post-Guru potential unlock and Bardock's elite Saiyan level. Even Saiyan royalty, as Bardock noted, rarely surpassed this.

Breaking into hundreds of thousands or millions? That demanded extraordinary circumstances—a fundamental metamorphosis.

As an Earthling, achieving such a transformation was near-impossible. But now, within Yamoshi's Saiyan body, Yamiru could feel the thrill of growth—the way her power craved the grind, thriving on the very exhaustion that would cripple an Earthling.

"Gravity training is practically tailor-made for Saiyans' freakish physiques! That brat Goku might have gotten the idea from the Turtle School's weighted shells and Kami's training clothes, but he was undoubtedly a genius when it came to cultivation methods!"

Yamiru maintained the Self-Weight Technique on Yamoshi's body around the clock, essentially reversing the principles of high-speed flight to apply crushing pressure to her physique and internal energy.

At the same time, he guided Yamoshi's body through grueling exercises in a secluded corner of the cave. Her once-light and agile movements now looked painfully sluggish under the self-imposed 5x gravity.

---

"What is Yamoshi doing?"

"Is she an idiot? She's just wasting energy for no reason!"

"Moron!"

The Sadala resistance fighters exchanged confused glances, baffled by "Yamoshi's" behavior. Tomatt, who had patrolled with Yamiru earlier, scowled deeply, his worries resurfacing—'Was Yamoshi starting to change, too? Would she end up like the S-Warriors?'

Even Yamoshi, trapped in Yamiru's mind, didn't fully understand.

Sadala warriors (like their Saiyan descendants) grew stronger in two ways:

1. Natural physical maturation.

2. Combat-driven evolution—thriving in battle, pushing limits through life-or-death struggles.

True power surges came only after near-fatal experiences.

But Yamiru's method? Deliberate, systematic training—like bodybuilding for combat prowess—was virtually unheard of.

Yet after a month of cycles (training to exhaustion → rest → repeat), Yamoshi began noticing the effects.

The body was still hers. The fatigue, the incremental gains—she could feel them. And compared to a month ago? Her strength had transformed.

'What Yamiru's doing… it's like fighting without an opponent!' she realized. 'He's torturing my body as if it's endured endless battles—and that's why I'm getting stronger?'

She also noticed Yamiru's techniques growing harsher as her power increased.

- 5x gravity.

- 10x gravity.

- 20x gravity…

- 100x gravity…

Yamiru was obsessed. Unlike his Earthling body, this training yielded direct, exponential returns.

'If I'd tried this with my original physique, I'd have crippled myself!' Earthlings simply couldn't endure such abuse.

---

When Yamiru finally woke up, it felt like emerging from a long dream.

The familiar weight of his true body returned—along with its glaring limitations.

'Going back to a 200–300 power level after experiencing 100,000+… How pathetic.'

Even he couldn't suppress a sigh.

Blinking, he found himself not where he'd been before, but inside…

The Furnace of Eight Divisions?
