Shiba nodded, turned to look at the Trial Gate, and said seriously, "This stone gate is exactly as described in the information we found.
Although I didn't intentionally channel my Nen, I kept a basic 'ten' around my body. But the moment I touched the door, it felt like my aura was being completely isolated."
Alex also stared at the Trial Gate. "That confirms the reports we gathered—it looks like our intel was spot on."
After leaving the Hunter Association headquarters, one of the main reasons Alex came here was precisely because of this Trial Gate.
To be more specific, it was to complete the main system achievement titled [Trial Gate].
He had unlocked this achievement long ago, but after some research, he delayed attempting it until he learned that the gate nullified Nen.
After all, this achievement didn't just require pushing open the first door—it required opening all seven doors of the Trial Gate.
With his physical strength back then, opening the final seventh gate—which totals 256 tons without the help of Nen—was completely out of reach.
"Master, can I try too?" Dilumon, still in Mia's arms, asked excitedly.
Alex looked down at the little creature and smiled. "Of course. You and Mia can both give it a try. We're here, after all—might as well make a memory."
"Right! Let's go try it together, Dilumon," Mia said enthusiastically, walking toward the Trial Gate with Dilumon still in her arms.
"Mia's physical strength is about the same as mine. She should be able to push open the fourth gate like I did. As for Dilumon... I have no idea. But it's definitely stronger than both of us," Shiba said as she hugged Alex's arm, thinking aloud.
The two women had trained side-by-side with the gravity rings, so they were familiar with each other's progress. But Dilumon remained an enigma.
Despite its small and adorable appearance, Dilumon possessed astonishing strength. It could spar against Alex—without him using his Thread Fruit powers—and still hold its own.
"Mistress Mia, you go first!" Dilumon said as it leapt down from Mia's arms.
"Alright, I'll go first then." Mia warmed up and stepped up to the Trial Gate. Like Shiba before her, she placed both hands on the gate and pushed with all her strength.
The heavy stone gate rumbled. A split formed down the middle and continued to widen—until it stopped just before the fifth door. She had successfully pushed open the fourth gate.
"Just as Shiba said... the aura gets neutralized," Mia murmured, glancing at her hands before stepping aside to let Dilumon have a turn.
The Trial Gate closed slowly once more. Dilumon approached the towering gate—its small frame almost comically dwarfed by the massive structure. But when Dilumon placed its claws on the gate and pushed, the rumble was louder and more intense than before.
Rumble...
The gate groaned under the pressure—and this time, it opened all the way to the sixth gate.
"The sixth gate?! That means Dilumon's physical strength is at least 128 tons?" Shiba's eyes widened in amazement.
And that was only the minimum.
Each gate doubled in weight. To push open the seventh gate, a person would need to exert at least 256 tons of force. Even someone with 255 tons of strength wouldn't make it past the sixth.
"The power behind Dilumon's little body is clearly much more than 128 tons," Alex thought to himself as he looked at the open gates.
He had frequently sparred with Dilumon without using his Nen abilities, so he had a pretty solid understanding of its capabilities—perhaps more than Shiba and Mia.
Back at the guard booth, Jim Bronn had just finished a phone call. He looked toward the Trial Gate—and was stunned by what he saw.
"A-A magical beast?! That little thing pushed open the sixth gate?!" Jim Bronn stood frozen in disbelief.
He had assumed that Dilumon was just a cute pet the group was carrying—certainly not capable of such monstrous strength.
Even setting aside its appearance, pushing open the sixth gate was something only the most gifted members of the Zoldyck family could do.
Even Illumi, the eldest son, couldn't manage that feat.
After all, Illumi wasn't an Enhancer-type. And although Killua had endured harsh training, his path focused more on agility and Nen than raw physical strength.
While Jim Bronn was still trying to process what he saw, Alex stepped toward the slowly closing gate.
"My turn."
"Master, you're going to try too?" Dilumon asked in surprise.
Alex nodded. "That's one of the main reasons I came here."
Dilumon quickly moved aside, and Alex placed both hands firmly on the Trial Gate.
"I wonder how many doors Alex will open," Mia said with curiosity.
"I'm not sure about the seventh," Shiba replied, "but the sixth definitely shouldn't be a problem."
The two women stood side by side, watching intently.
"Open!" Alex shouted.
With a sharp exhale, his eyes turned fierce. The muscles in his body flexed and tensed beneath his fitted black outfit, especially along his arms, which rippled with raw strength.
