Kai's POV
I opened my eyes.
I felt sunlight on my face. It was warm and golden. I blinked, disoriented momentarily.
I wasn't lying on cold grass in Stormbreaker forest.
The burning mansion wasn't in sight. The screams of Alpha Michael and Akira had faded.
The huge coat that Jack laid me on was gone too. It took a second but I realized that I wasn't in Stormbreaker pack land anymore.
I was lying on soft sheets. I was staring at a familiar ceiling, lying in a somewhat familiar bed. I was in Jack's bedroom.
I was home. God, he took me home.
I had that now. A home. A family. People that will burn down the world for me. I had unconditional love and devotion. I had a family that will go above and beyond for me.
It only took nineteen years but I finally found my home.
Iblinked back tears.
Memory of last night rushed back all at once.
